Did it come back on in the Ponty End? Would have been nice to have a hot drink on the coldest day of the autumn.
I was going to mention this. Twice we tried to get a hot drink - once just before kick off and then at half time and both times they had no hot water.
I can't disagree. All I can assume is that demand completely outstripped supply but you would have thought they would have expected it yesterday.
I don’t understand this. Hot water is the easiest thing in the world. I’m sure they could boil a couple of kettles at a pinch and pour it into an urn or something. It’s not fast but it’s better than nothing.
Funny you should mention this. At half 2 I said I wonder when they'll run out of hot water today. Mystic meg me
You should have stuck a tenner on it. You'd have been quids in by five to three - frozen stiff but richer than you were when you arrived.
Yes. Very poor on a cold and wet day like yesterday. Typical BFC though and it will be the fans who were in the wrong for wanting to buy a drink.
It's not the first time. You can't blame the folk working behind the counter (well apart from the lack of speed in which they operate) but the catering provision has been terrible for years. A few weeks back, there was another issue in getting a hot drink, some of the water dispensers were seemingly not working and the one that was had an issue where the water output was no more than a trickle so took around a minute to fill 1 cup. Think the area needs a fair bit of investment to bring it up to standard.
I cant believe that you have nothing better to do with your time than discuss the hot water the only advice I can give is BRING A FLASK
Good facilities and provisions help to attract people, end of story.. Ps, You are forgetting you have seen a thread entitled 'Hot Water', read the entire discussion, Mmmm, can't believe you have nothing better to do with your time either in that case sunshine..
It happened at Wycombe last weekend too, a similarly cold day. We'd queued for about 15 mins as well - none of the staff thought to tell the rest of the queue and save them queuing in the pissing rain, so we did it ourselves
It might not be front page news but contrary to popular belief this is a BFC forum and for the primary purpose of discussing all things BFC related.
Does BFC stand for Brexit fo I wish it was a forum for discussing all things BFC ,but football matters seem to have been overtaken by political issues these days .
I honestly don't mind a bit of politics on here, as unbalanced as it can be, but Brexit completely dominates the board - just take a look at the list of most replied to threads. I love the variety of subjects on here, from BFC to cricket to plumbing advice to the great music posts especially the @John Peachy posts. It's just my opinion but I think it is time for site admin to draw a line under the amount of Brexit posts on the BBS.
I echo your thoughts entirely , I love the football banter but I think there is a time & a place for political debate & thats not on a football forum , however, a sub section for non football topics on the forum might be popular .
Don’t see how it dominates the board tbh especially when you see a clearly marked headline stating the subject. It baffles me when people enter these threads and comment on how fed up they are of them . I think there about three threads on the subject on the whole page and are well posted on . I’d suggest if it appalls you that much is not to enter them imo . Even though we debating with people with opposite I’m sure we’d all be in agreement that nothing is stopping you entering threads relevant to your thoughts . I think your being a drama queen tbh Should have highlighted red cb post
You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, I wasn't trying to argue that you're wrong for debating it, I'm saying that on a BFC forum five of the top ten most replied to threads are about Brexit. I am also on a politics forum and I could guarantee that if I kept posting about BFC I would probably get banned. I debate Brexit and politics on there and come on here for some light relief but it's getting difficult these days. The main reason why I say this is because some posters only seem to contribute to the Brexit posts which means that the other posts drop down the list quite quickly and with limited input and debate from numerous posters you end up talking to yourself or to a very small number of people. If some people contributed as much to other subjects posted as they do about Brexit then this place would thrive again. Primarily this is a BFC forum with other subjects discussed however you can almost stake your house on it that a Brexit post will go beyond ten pages of replies. The most frustrating element is that the same arguments are posted, the same opinions, the same names are called and the outcome is exactly the same - nobody changes their mind. I don't mind there being a wide range of subjects posted including politics, it makes this forum interesting but I just wish that sometimes there would be a little more focus on the bread and butter of the forum.
