Hecky hasnt got a job yet has he? Looks like the board are panicing as they clearly havent lined up a sucessor at least not one available until next summer.
It must be devastating to lose your job, and only get a £40 million payoff to fallback on until you find a new job.
That must have broken the bank as they have gone for a caretaker for the rest of the season. From what I know caretakers don't get much above the minimum wage.
Apart from the money why would Pochettino want the United job? Most of the fans blame Woodward and the Club's overseas owners for the predicament at Old Trafford. Whoever comes in will have Fergie looking over his shoulder as well. The ills at Old Trafford didn't start or stop with Mourinho so I'm not sure his sacking will address some of the deeper issues at Old Trafford and I'm sure would be enough to deter prospective managers from taking over.
He has been a busted flush for some time since he had that row with the Chelsea club doctor. I used to quite admire him up to that point, but he lost the dressing room at Chelsea & has never really fitted in the Utd job.
It's been obvious over the past few weeks that pressure was mounting on him. He'd fallen out with Pogba and former United players like Ince, Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Keane and Savage were not helpful in the criticism they were levelling at him. It will be very interesting to see how the players perform in the upcoming games. Looking at recent performances, it seems that a number of them didn't appear to be putting a full shift in.
Same here I think he needs to go back to a lesser we’ll known club as he did at Porto and start afresh imo. There’s no doubt he’s a good coach and motivator but he’s lost his way a little imo and the incident at Chelsea did him no favours at all . I think his super confidence has morphed into a bit of overbearing Arrogance and although it could be his character he needs to curb it imo as the international sporting media could turn the most amicable man into a frothing neck unwinding freak.
I don't get why they would want to hire a nearly man anyway. Spurs have such a talented squad of underachievers. Not the person Man United should be looking at. Mourinho won more trophies in his time at United than Klopp at Liverpoool. One is sacked for being poor and the other is seen as a brilliant manager despite his empty Anfield trophy cabinet after spending hundreds of millions.
One team is progressing steadily whilst the other is moving backwards quickly. Also I doubt you'll find a better manager in terms of net spend to points ratio than Pochettino
It's the weight of expectations, which is relative to each club. Man Ure want at least a trophy a season, just like we want promotion from this league. Jose is a strange one though as he seems to implode after a couple of years. I for one will not mourn him if he leaves our shores. He spent a fortune on players (as at Chelsea) and then whinged when they wouldnt give him anymore to spend (suspect the board questioned his signings even in the summer). Buying your way to success is bad for football.
Maybe he could try his hand at a club not guaranteed to finish in the top six every year and see how good a manager he actually is.
Yep, people talk about him as the "special one"...well he does anyway. I'd like to see him take over a mid-table championship club who've never won anything and take them to a prem title and two European Championship victories in the space of five years, now that would be some achievement
Just been told from a very good source they got the wrong man when they signed Mouriniho they should have signed one of his backroom staff. JUST STUCK A TENNER ON MORAISE TO TAKE OVER TILL END OF SEASON. I was going to say can't get any worse then I started to get cold sweats and thought ooooohhhhhh yes it can
