The last I heard was that we were aiming to have him back in early / mid January. His return can't come soon enough for me.
I am hoping we will have another Kenny ready for 1st January to take the pressure off rushing him back. Yes McGeehan played well Saturday, but needs to be turning out performances like that consistently.
Just in time for the Australians to steal him once again for the Asian Cup. Which would be disgusting when we pay his wages and as he has been out so long. They have even told Huddersfield they want to do their own tests on Arron Mooy who is supposed to be out until February.
Surely they wouldn’t take him if he’s not match fit? It’s not like he’s a key player for them and they need him back. Although, I have no idea how long the tournament lasts for so if it’s a while then I suppose they could get him up to speed. I’d hope that he stays with us and returns soon though.
I suppose it depends on when he's fit and when they pick their squad. I think it's unlikely, it's probably going to be slightly too early for him but it would be the kind of luck we seem to get it they do pick him in their squad.
You should know by now the longer someone doesnt play the better he was He played in the Charlton game and wasnt at his best - I didnt see the Shrewsbury kickathon - but there is no doubt he had mostly very good games for us and we have been missing him Even when he gets back though it will take him a while to get up to speed - look how long it took Gardener last season to really start to have an impact We need to be looking to sign another DM in January and possibly offloading one of our current crop (Mowatt excluded)
Dougall's best game was Oxford on the opening day. I wasn't at Bradford when he played well again. Those two games apart he's hardly played come to think of it. I'm sure when i've seen more of him i'll change my opinion as I have with other players.
Reminds me of a certain Jacob burns. Didn't appear to pull up many trees to many because they do a lot of the dirty work. Ie positioning so that it forces other teams into other areas whereby we also win back possession He gets a toe in which also breaks up play. Plays simple passes to the ones who then dictate play ie mowatt. Put simply he doesnt get appreciated but it sticks out like a massive sore thumb when not present. He's a massive loss at present as we have no one doing the crap
If I had a choice in January of one player/position to cover it would be this one. We could then play them both together and allow the full backs to bomb on. A Sheridan Luke player.
