They have called up Mooy though and he and Huddersfield have stated he is not available. They are doing their own independent checks on him on Friday. So if he pulls out they could do the same as they did previously and fall back on Dougal. I hope not but it's a possibility.
Potentially he may play both and push Mowatt further forward. It may make us stronger in the middle of the park.
I'd go along with that. I'd like to see more of the Mowatt that played for Leeds. He's wasted where we try and play him. You want his accuracy of passing in the final third. Saturday's error showed he just fills in back in that area. People harp on about Moncur with his quick feet and attacking flare but his end product isn't there. I'd go with Mcgeehan, Dougall as a central two and Mowatt in a free role. My 11 would be: Walton/New Keeper Pinillos (out of position over Cavare),Jackson, Pinnock, Fryers Mcgeehan, Dougall Mowatt, Woodrow, Adeboyejo. Davies, Potts, Moncur, Moore 'll be gone in january window.
I know football is about opinions and all that but I’m not even sure where to start with this. Mowatt wasted? Did he not get our player of the month for the first 3 months of the season? I think he’s doing just fine where he is. I don’t think Davies will go yet so that’s him starting over Walton. Pinillos at right back when he only uses his right leg/foot to stand on... I imagine if Moore does go it wouldn’t be Adeboyejo in for him. We’d buy someone else or play a midfielder just off him. You’ve also only got 10 players in your 11. Apart from that though....
