It’s a view point from their side of things. But I have to agree - their goalkeeper didn’t have a save to make. And yet we absolutely battered them and had numerous shots. A frustrating game for us.
Can't really comment on the Ivan Toney incident until I have seen it again, other to say that I fully expected us to be down to 10 men. Other than that, I thought the referee gave them a hell of a lot of decisions throughout the game. I thought the way their number 10 wrestled Cavare to the ground and followed up shortly after with a late challenge that left him on the floor, deserved a yellow card. All in all, if we had won 4 or 5-0 it wouldn't have flattered us. It was a very comfortable win. Clutching at straws when they only managed one shot on target.
That was lovely to watch. The icing on the cake of a great day!! On a seperate note - Macus Maddison. Absolutely Pony. Anyone who pays money for him needs looking at.
Yes, that is how I saw things. They did have what looked like a half decent shout for a penalty. Would like to see that again. We should have won by much more though than we did, as you say. Great build up play today again.
I'd have more respect for him if he held his hands up and admitted they deserved nothing from the game. If we had played until Saturday the only way they were gonna score is if we gave them a goal.
I've looked at it a few rimes & I'm not convinced. It is a poor angle to judge from. I was in the East Lower, but a good way away. It was fairly 50/50, but challenge was from behind & he had gone to ground. It certainly wasn't simulation.
Nothing wrong with that. Gave his view on the game as the opposition manager. He's right about the ref though. He was crap. Can't comment on the simulation incident as it was at the other end. We'd probably have claimed a penalty if that penalty incident was against us.
I am as biased and bitter as anyone you will ever meet. My view of the incident was poor but I thought Dougall was certainly going to get sent off.
Can't comment about tackle need to see it from linesman's angle tbh, But I can comment on the feking lazy stupid schoolboy passes we insist on doing three or four times a game
Need to see that in HD and slow motion when available but, from that clip, Kenny is a lucky lad. I thought red at the time and I haven't changed my mind.
Only criticism of our play from me today was the over-indulgence in suicide passes across the back. I'm all for us footballing the opposition off the park, but not in a dangerous position (like this one). We get away with it so often because of the skill of the player receiving the ball but I wish we wouldn't put ourselves under pressure so often.
I was in line with the linesman in the East stand upper and it looked a definite red to me. We were all pissing ourselves when he booked Toney.
The guy that sits in front of me in the East Lower was ripping him all through the second half and he looked like a broken man: he also looked extremely unfit
From the ponty it looked a red card. But straight away the ref looked towards the linesman and he had his hand over his mouth communicating with the ref. However it looked anything but simulation.
