If true regarding Hedges then cant say I'm too fussed, he's offered very little since joining, we can do better!!
Jackson not up to it and Moncur rarely lived up to his billing. From day one with his loan to Peterboro, it always looked a mistake by both parties.. Can see more leaving next month..
Of course Jackson is up to it. He was our best centre back before he got injured but unfortunately for him Pinnock and Lindsay have been pretty decent and avoided injuries and suspensions so he hasn’t been able to get back in. I agree Moncur has been frustrating. I’d keep him as a squad player but can’t say I would be devastated if he goes. I’d like us to keep Jackson though
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/40475257 Isgrove is under contract for another season according to the above article from the BBC. Where are your sources regarding the contract situations?
Moncur has had plenty of chances under 3 coaches. Bye bye. Would like to keep Jackson, but he's 3rd choice. If he wants to be a regular starter he may move. That said I think he'd be better fighting for his place. One of the other two may leave in the summer. Hedges and Isgrove need to prove their fitness. No one will be that interested in them as things stand.
Dodged a bullet. Really don't see why Moncur should be offered a new deal. Can count his good games on one hand Edit his good 45 min spells.
There's every possibility that Pinnock may have some interest from other clubs in January. If so, the last thing we should be doing is letting Jackson get away. Moncur is a different kettle of fish. For me, he's now well down in the midfield pecking order and it's time to thin out the herd.
Plus I never said any player was out of contract, usually when a player has one year left clubs normally extend the contracts instead of running them down
If they don't want to stay, they can all leave for me. Isgrove is made of chocolate, Moncur very inconsistent, Hedges ok as a sub but not a starter. Jackson for me is an adequate replacement for our two current centre halves, but not as composed as either. They have all been here for some time and none of them are regular first choice, so might be better for all concerned if they move on.
Don't think there's any way we'd offer Isgrove or Hedges a new deal unless they managed an extended period injury free, so for me the source is unreliable. If it were true though, I'd credit the club with trying to sort it at the right time. I'd be disappointed if Jackson left but would understand he wants to play. Moncur... Meh. As much as owt, it probably suggests the terms we offered weren't that attractive to the players, which again reflects the club got it right. None of them worth breaking the bank for.
Wouldn’t be too disappointed if all move on. Only one I would like to see us keep would be Jackson but if he’s not happy then no sense keeping him here.
My opinion on Jackson stands.. to improve you need to bring in better players than you have already. Not rocket science, players who can oust the current 11. Not stick with ones who are bench warmers and keep em in hope..
And I say you need to prioritise Jackson looked decent enough in the Championship before his injury I don’t know where we would get a better centre half who would come here until one of Lindsay or Pinnock moves on. Centre half is probably the position we least need to strengthen. I’d rather we were looking at full backs goalkeepers and wingers. Not saying Jackson isn’t replaceable but I’d rather keep him and devote time to the other positions
Aye it's in Chronicle. Didnt mean to shoot the messenger OP there's just some windup merchants about on twitter especially. Shame about Jackson, I like him. Proper centre half. Shirt tucked in, stick your head in, what a lad. Good enough for mid table championship IMO.
