    Is he off to Portsmouth?

IMO itd probably be for the best. Not getting game time, picking up a wage, might be potential for spoiling the dressing room atmosphere.

He's not looked all that interested this season except in the Checkatrade trophy, and for 45 mins against Portsmouth where, in all honesty, he looked like he was trying to impress them. Maybe got one eye on the exit door and just biding his time.

Much rather we give the time off the bench to that young Styles.

Id rather get rid of the show pony and use his wages to bring a fresh face in. Striker would be nice we have enough midfielders.....

Bit harsh to say he's not looked interested aside from 45 mins against pompey. What about his motm performances against Peterborough or Luton? I think he has had a decent season and certainly offers something as an impact sub. However, he does seem to have fallen down the pecking order lately so would make sense for him to leave. Wouldn't sell to pompey though, due to them blocking the Chaplin transfer.

Why would we sell to a rival, makes no sense at all.

I would hope we would do it on same basis Pompey did we would need to ensure we have adequate replacement / alternative player before letting him go.

Plus if only Pompey willing to buy we are going to have to a deal. He’s out of contract in the summer. Potentially we could sell him cheap and put in a sell on clause and potentially get more from the deal should he ever fulfil his potential which in 2 years here he’s never looked like doing on a consistent basis.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him sold, but I don't think we should be selling anybody to Portsmouth at this stage.

I'd be happy to see him leave to be honest, bags of potential but heart of a pea. He has had enough chances in the side over a couple of years and not done enough. Very frustrating.

That's exactly why Portsmouth didn't sell Conor Chaplin to us in the summer.. but then again we did sell Angus to relegation rivals Hull last year so we have form
