Luton are close to signing George Thorne from Derby. He's a decent player, He plays Central midfield or Defensive midfield. Charlton have signed Jonny Williams from Palace. He's a attacking midfielder. 17 Wales caps. Josh Maja has also rejected a new contract with Sunderland
Just read that the Goss up Roker way is that they've offered to increase his salary 7 fold if he signs!!!!!!!!! Crackers if true
Bloody hell - thought that Williams was meant to be their next big thing a few years back. George Thorne also a great signing at this level. See Peterborough have bought a couple of defenders in on loan already as well, with Tomlin expected to join next week. Decent business it seems from those around us.
He only made his debut last season - he's probably on about £500 a week. Multiply that by 7 and it's not that much for a striker with 14 goals just after Christmas. Their chairman has tweeted he (Maja) had told the manager that he would be signing a new deal, only for his agent to tell Sky Sports that he's told the player not to sign, and to leave. Modern day football.
Id like to know what the costs are to the club taking them on loan... I suspect given the reputed wages both are on itll not be cheap.
No but George Thorne in particular - fancy Luton to go up automatically now. Absolutely brilliant player at this level. Real push and ambition from their owners that deal.
Hes decent but has hardly played over recent years due to injury. Brought in to replace their player who went off the other day.
Aaaaahhh remember it well the good old days Sell a player and fetch one in on loan till end of season play him through the poor first couple of months until he gets fit then get a good couple of months from him before he goes back home.
Would be good if Sunderland lose Maja and Pompey lose Lowe. They’ll probably sell for £5m plus though. Maja out of contract end of season though. Be interesting to see what happens. One things for sure if we don’t strengthen I think automatics will be out of reach. I’m still confident the club have something planned regards players in.
Having plans are all well and good. It's the execution of those plans we sometimes struggle with. Be nice to have a plan that puts us on the front foot for once!
Doubt they will get that much lowe 3million apparently but we will see. We defiantly to get a Potts replacement a player who can chip in with goals and assists at this level who can come straight in I said Ashley hunter https://www.fleetwoodtoday.co.uk/sp...ble-for-any-of-his-first-team-stars-1-9521555 but according to that Barton doesn't expect any bids but said will sell if price is right.
