An off topic request. Does anyone know, or can recommend a Dr or a Surgeon etc that specialises in Pain Management?
Seeing as you’ve asked in the middle of the January transfer window I’m guessing there will be quite a few that will be able to help you mate.
It's a serious request! Need a medical report writing and has to be from a specialist. As I'll be paying for it I'd rather go on a recommendation.
Ask your GP for a referral. It depends where the pain is and the cause, it could be linked to something more serious, but you might also want to try alternative therapy - acupuncture, etc.
Thanks for the reply. I've already got a diagnosis etc. Damage is permanent, surgery etc is not an option. I currently take pain relief but need a report writing to send to my pension provider. GP has suggested a private referral, which is fine, but I need someone local (ish) and someone who is decent.
Good question. The pension provider will only accept a report from the person most qualified to give an opinion. They already have a report from my GP but want this in addition.
Do you have private medical insurance? - perhaps through your employer? - That could be another way to find someone.
Jesus you have my sympathy . Apart from my daughter and football , Sciatica is the only other thing that made me cry .
I'm sure they would and be more than qualified. However, "computer says no" and it has to be a pain management specialist.
I have lower back pain (arthritis) - I use Butec patches - they are a controlled medication they don't take all the pain away but they do alleviate some of the pain - best relief I've experienced (other than alcohol............)
quick google search for PMS near Barnsley came up with this bloke https://finder.bupa.co.uk/Consultant/view/193127/?ql=&printPage=1
Looks ideal - thank you. I have contacted local private hospitals this afternoon and will also send him an email now.
I've had a reply from him already, he can't help as he doesn't write reports. I'm looking through the Bupa list now, i'm sure i'll find someone.
