He has great confidence on the ball and retains possession when pressurised. He does simple effective passes and does those little defence splitting passes.

Glad I'm not alone. I was starting to wonder a few weeks back when he was getting flak from some posters (albeit he was only just starting to find his feet). Great player to bring on to steady the midfield. Pinnock also starting to look 'Ferdinanesque' stature and composure wise.

I think he's class. Always trying to play a positive pass or through ball and has a brilliant first touch. The things he attempts don't always come off, but he reads the game well and another who is steadily improving.

    Technically he is outstanding.

I’m hoping we sign him up because I think he can go far.

I’m liking him more and more. He needs to toughen up a bit and to keep it in perspective Bradford were in complete disarray when he came on but as Daniel would say Ja is doing okay

He's a very good player who is getting better as he becomes accustomed to league one.

I have noticed a lot of the little and large things that dont come off or he runs up blind alleys, yes he has had one good 45 mins for us and a few good touches but this thread is way OTT in my opinion of what we have seen so far.

Think you must be watching a different player. Yes, some of what he tries doesn't always come off. He is not the finished product but improving game on game. Only a couple of matches since he deservedly got MOTM. I know sod all about tactics but I CAN spot a decent player when I see one.

I was slating him vs Doncaster (I think it was), but since then he seems to have improved. Hope we keep him.

Yep - he’s not finished article.
He should be much more aggressive driving forward in the final third.
Great pass to Brown that got the Bradfud player sent off.

Got a little drop of the shoulder which puts opposing players off - bit like John Hendrie used to do

Agreed. There are some great little touches from him and his work rate is excellent, but he's been caught in possession a hell of a lot in many games and his passing has not been accurate enough. If he'd been as good as what has been suggested in this thread then he'd be in the starting line up every week but he's not.

None of the above has any bearing on how good a player he may or may not become. I can see why people believe he has a lot of potential. But my assessment of how he's played so far is improvement required.

Excellent touch and distribution. Hope he stays.
Not really sure that DS knows precisely where he will integrate him for best effect.
    We’ll see.
