It's gonna be one of our southern rivals then. Charlton, Pompey or Luton. I'm not exactly buzzing that he's apparently off (especially to one of those 3) but he's had nearly 3 seasons to fit in and largely failed to do so.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if he went to a rival. He hasn't played for ages so his fitness will be non existent. All the talent, zero application. Sithi.
I liked moncur but it hasn't really worked out he was my mom v Luton at home and has bags of ability but too inconsistent. Stendel prefers bahre to him and he hasn't had a look in for months. The club will want to sell in this window so they retain a interest in his future in case he ever reaches his potential.
I think we gave him chance to improve himself Red but sadly for me he is still the same player we bought, was it 2 and aif years ago.
Yeah i agree 3 diffrent managers haven't been able to get him performing consistantly he does have the ability though imo
I was very happy when we signed him but he's just not fit into any of our systems; perhaps if he had knuckled down and not jumped ship in that first season it may have been different for him. But him going is no loss really; for an attacking midfielder his lack of goals makes me think he will not be missed. I'd rather fill the bench with a youngster; perhaps this Callum Styles may get a look in. I expect him to go elsewhere and flourish though; but at least we will get a few quid for him.
Moncur only buzzed when someone else was doing his legwork and graft for him. Then he could pirouette in the middle of the park spraying aimless balls around. Verdict : No great loss
If its true it makes sense - he is only a squad player here and already turned down our contract offer so can leave for nowt in the summer if we can get some decent cash for him now we may as well. Got to be a reasonable offer though - no point in giving him away especially not to a rival
We should loan him for the rest of the season so he can't play against us. We won't get a lot for him presumably
Yes - he’s not a regular first team player - he might have skill but he dosent threaten other teams enough. He never looks dangerous and likely to provide a killer pass or a goal. IMO - he could be a good player. But we haven’t seen enough of that. Potts was a loss. Moncur - not sure, maybe not a loss. He might come good - but maybe not at Barnsley.
Always been a show pony who has all the skills in the world but he’s only effective when a team is built around him. That will only happen at a smaller club where he is the marquee signing. We put good players into a system to achieve an end goal, unfortunately he’s never fitted like he did at Colchester for the aforementioned reasons. Good luck to him apart from against us.
