Looked like it was off yesterday morning as rangers had been sniffing around but looks like he's chosen us. Later than expected but good news non the less... still yet to get a name.

Giddings just tweeted he’s off to Luton on loan, very very odd to loan him out, especially to a promotion rival.

I'm still waiting for Mido to shed a few pounds. I'd file Moncur in the same category. Bags of talent. No resolve or fitness. Does not fit a high press team. The lad has had multiple chances under 3 different coaches. He has done very little under any of them.

Thought same. Only thing I can think is he’s holding out so he can get a decent signing on fee when his contract runs out. Then will go to the highest bidder. In return we get him off the wage bill.

I'm opening a bottle of champagne on the strength of this rumour, good riddance.

"Moncur off". Could the be the OED phrase for 2019.

Meaning to leave without anybody being that arsed you have gone.

    To "Moncur Off".

Genius bit of business by BFC!
This will derail Luton's promotion chances.
    Heart of a pea.

In the sense that he's done very little for us, I'm not bothered he's going.

Get him off the wage-bill and get someone better than him in. It shouldn't be too hard to improve on the Moncur we've seen as a Barnsley player.

I do worry that he'll get a new lease of life with Luton, though. The ability is clearly there but we've only ever seen it in flashes.

Good luck to the lad but he's wasted his talent . With a little more application and nouse he would be playing in the PL .

If he's not come good under Stendel, that tells me a lot about him. Being overtaken by kids out of the academy, you would have thought might have given him some motivation.

    Sithi George lad.

Resembles everything that’s wrong with modern football, with his Louis Vuitton man-bag.

Strange move as clearly has talent and we have given him to a promotion rival. Could be an unwise move if he starts to put in any kind of effort - as he has talent.

How nice and reasonable of you.

Isn't it typical of many on this board to manage to hold back their full contempt for players and coaches, until they leave the club?

That kind of bravado - demonstrated most blatantly regarding Hecky - seems to me to reveal more about the poster than the player.

Anyway, I'm arsed if he's gone, so that buries your claim to dictionary fame.

I suspect others may be too.

Thanks. I think I'm supportive of all players that actually put a shift in. I spoke up for Potts early last season when he has getting flak & I've stuck up for Bahre & some of the youngsters this season.

There is no bravado in my post. Just the truth that the guy is a wasted talent & I don't care if he leaves. If you do, you are in a myopic minority.

I have no issue with your opinion.

I cannot however see the need to belittle Moncur, nor either (as in your most recent post) accuse those who do not agree with you of having problems with their sight.

    But there we go.

Chill out fella. This board is here to talk about footballers. If you are Moncur's dad I understand your position in defending him.

I think its a shame. I'm not sure he's as bad as some think. he's clearly talented, but in terms of translating that talent into outcomes, goals and assists... he's sadly flattered to deceive. Many of his goals have been in the cup, and others have been in games when we've already been walloped (Bristol C and Derby spring to mind). In 3 years he certainly hasn't advanced and its best he moves on. Was a poor start when he went out on loan, and given how he raised his game away at posh, I suspect he may well reserve a performance whenever we see him again.

I wish him well, but it just never really worked for anyone.

So only Moncur's dad is now allowed to stick up for him? That's even fewer than the earlier "myopic minority".

We had a post earlier on about his wife and dog being shoe horned into the removal van - no doubt they abandoned him somewhere around Leicester Forest East.

    Poor lad.

At least he has his faith.
