And I answered your point quite clearly if you go back but I’ll re iterate the point .
I can’t get excited about the tax allowance whilst I’m seeing food banks being used mainly be in work recipients nor when I see homeless people on the streets .
You went on a rant of how bitter and twisted I am about Tory govts and I have good reasons to be but if you engage in debate I won’t hold back on this otherwise what’s the point.

Your really not listening then because my personal bubble really doesn’t involve twitter , Facebook the Dsily mirror or whatever you want to suggest . My bubble involves seeing with my own eyes .
When you walk past the homeless or a queue at a food bank what are your thoughts?

I didn't call you bitter. You've said that to a few people and it's come from nowhere to be honest. i've no idea if you're bitter or not.

My point was and still is people (all people, me included, just to avoid any semblance of doubt) can have a broad ranging view of a group, party, whatever.

In isolation, you haven't been able to say that the personal allowance increase is a good thing, and that's just because the Tories introduced it. If Labour introduced it, you'd be greatly in favour.

I'm in favour whoever introduces it.

Foodbanks. Its terrible so many are resorting to them, obviously.

Youve just shown me your priorities in a nutshell tbh.
Yes I’m bitter and twisted about anything about the Tories but is not blind by any means it’s from a lifetime of experience .

Just stop a second and please read what I'm saying. I said I was talking generally. that means I'm not criticising you. I'm not judging you, i'm not saying you're bitter. I don't understand why you take generalism and generalism and instantly shift to the stance of if you're being attacked, when you're absolutely not being.

As for the homeless, the guy at the station every day, I often buy him a sandwich. The one near Sainsburys who can't afford to heat his house, is quite lonely and often just sits outside when its fine, I have a chat with, often about cricket and sometimes bring him a pasty, because he really likes a pain au chocolat. When I see the increasing numbers of homeless on Londons streets, I feel sorry for some, and not for others and accept some help can be given by people, but that the person also has to try and help themselves too.

Foodbanks, Once a week, I put a few things in the collection box at Sainsburys. and as I said above, its terrible so many are resorting to them. I also wish there were better cooking skills, make do and mend, pass down and our society wasn't so throwaway and cosmetic.

John McDonald in particular is keen on addressing Credit card debt if Labour do ever attain power.
He said at Conference one of the first bits of legislation Labour would put forward, would to be limit the amount of interest a lender can benefit from on "revolving credit" type cards. Example if you have a card with a £12k limitdepending on the APR level, you could expect to pay circa £250 per month in interest. Ultimately, once you had paid a total £12k in interest, the lender would be obligated to request if you wished to close your account.

Ok... my last stance. I'm not calling you blind. I'm not calling you bitter. If you want to wear those titles, that's your choice alone. You dislike the tories. There isn't a person on here that is unsure of that fact. That's your choice and based on your beliefs experiences and natural biases. I have biases, we all have biases, its not a slight on you just in case you fear it is.

My single point was everyone should be able to look at others and find something good if its good. Good doesn't have to just come from people you (royal you) perceive to be good.

Labour can do bad things, Tories can do good things. Surely everyone should be judged on each individual action? or am I completely mad in thinking that?

I don’t feel as I’m being attacked but not bothered either way tbh . I think it’s more the way your reading than what I’m writing or in the interpretation of what I’m writing .
It’s good that you give some comfort to people less fortunate but my experiences go far deeper .
I don’t hide my hatred of the Tories and will engage with anyone defending them as I have been victim of their policies and see first hand what their deliberate policies have caused.
They are a selfish party supporting selfish policies which if things are going ok for you is all well and good but are the cruelist of people when not ,

Can you highlight what this government have done for you personally on a positive scale and what it is that a labour government would do which would be detramental to you personally?

So the personal allowance is 5k more than it was 9 years ago. How much has inflation risen? How much has the basic cost of living risen? How much has the average working person had in increased wages? The NHS had a pay freeze at 1% for 8 years!!! Just let that sink in!

Inflation has been bugger all at times and nearer +/- 2-3% thereafter. Compound that effect over 9 years and it leads to nowhere a real terms doubling of the personal allowance. The PA hardly shifted at all for years, very very modest increments. Wage rises are down to you and your employer. I'm fully aware of the NHS and public sector lack of wage rises.

I'm sure you're also aware many businesses went bust in the global recession in 2008. I'm sure you're aware many small business owners sacrificed paying themselves at all for many months and less than basic income after that to continue their businesses and protect the livelihoods of their employees. It would be very easy for me to blame Gordon Brown for that and vow never to vote for them again... which I don't by the way.

I'm truly surprised I seem completely alone in being able to judge things individually on their merits and not have to paint everything black or white. I thought there may be one person who could say in pure isolation that the rise in PA's was a good thing. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, and neither should I be surprised at the black white views of Brexit and the impasses we have and the inabilities of people to view things in isolation or bridge difference to seek compromise.

Can you elaborate on judging things individually ?
What are your views on homelessness by this govts . What’s your views on food banks for the working poor ?
What’s your views on in particular homeless ex serviceman suffering PTSD
What’s your views on this govt protecting British tax havens .
Genuine questions not having a go .

    If that's to me?
Homelessness. Not good. Sadly, I fear it will only intensify post Brexit, as those willing to assist have to worry about themselves more and more taxation take and jobs are lost. I think its a good thing there are many people trying to help modestly where they can, locally i've seen numerous times where someone has given a coat, blankets, clothes or food, including specially prepared hot food, to homeless people locally. How you tackle issues that are drug related an where high dependency to alcohol, frankly, I've no idea where you even start with such things, but huge amounts of funding have been cut from councils and local authorities, and I feel that's had the negative impact making it in increasing issue.
I don't know about the other homeless person you refer to, so I can't comment.
Tax havens. I believe the EU are bringing/trying to bring legislation to prevent tax havens. I've not read the full bill, but I've picked up snippets about it and welcome it. From a tax perspective, I'd rather pay as little tax as possible, but I pay my fair share and always have. I think some of our taxes are excessive though, especially for small companies and property taxation. Large companies get much more favourable treatment in terms of taxation and I don't think that's right. Post Brexit, its small businesses that will have a huge challenge, and they really need to be supported and assisted to get through something that I fear will make 2008 look pleasurable in retrospect.

The simple reason and not let's ever forget this ... We are in this **** storm becase a certain Tory PM who in his infinite wisdom attempted to appease both sides of his party by stating he would give the country a vote on Europe thus silencing those who wanted to leave...how wrong he was ...hence it cost him his job ...yes it was a narrow victory but for me it highlights many divisions in the Tory party something that it's Tory run press in this country refuse to highlight....the money men of the higher class will do anything to hold on to power ...we the working class are but a number in the system we are easily replaced and most of the time it's by people struggling to survive, people and their families from abroad come here and hope for a better life escaping the oppression and violence that their own currupt governments impose on them (would you be any different if you were experiencing their treatment... surely you would do whatever it took to keep your family safe....then in most cases they get exploited and except the low pay and conditions that then effect us all in many ways.... running my own business one of my biggest bills we have is wages...so I see both sides of the coin so to speak ...all this then becomes part of the problem..but at the same time it provides the Tory press to help their masters to rule and divide the population by playing the immigration card which they do to a tee.... They love it when the population are at each others throats... anybody with an ounce of Sence looks behind the veil and sees it's so easy to deflect all the problems we have .... The banks blame labour blame the disabled blame the NHS the unions...whilst implementing policy that creates these situation ..you light the blue touch paper stand back and let society tear it's self to bits ....dog eats dog to survive . Break the spirit break the population... Then you can do as you like

Theresa May has suffered within just 12 months more Parliamentary defeats than the last 4 PMs put together, the biggest defeat in Parliaments history and for the first time ever, found in contempt of Parliament. No question about it; the worst PM of all time and by some distance, but hey Its easier for the press and media to rip into Dianne Abbott.

Now why is that do we think?

He’ll never get in power so your comment has no merit. As bad as Theresa May has been, she still has a 6 point lead of Corby in the polls which speaks volumes.

Homelessness is a scourge on the policies of this govt the families in scant refuges fleeing domestic abuse whilst funds to help them are decimated is grotesque to be polite .
You seem to be implying in your text correct me if I’m wrong that it’s not a good thing etc as if it’s inevitable . It’s not inevitable it’s lacking funding from a government that has imposed austerity on the poorest people in society including working people and the disabled .
Yes the Eu are bringing legislation of tax havens into force and guess what ? Just in time for when we leave the EU and this govt is refusing to uphold the directive .
The other homeless I’m talking about are ex servicemen who are leaving the armed forces with no help or care and some are suffering PTSD and are living on our streets some who are coping by turning to alcohol and drugs etc . Whilst the government leaves them to overstretches charities .
I could go on and on tbh but the gist of it is to some people political party is oh they are doing this that and the other but it doesn’t make a lot of difference to their lives .
With respect you seem to be in this category and it’s not a dig and so am I to an extent .
But to seem people a political party taking power is a matter of life and death , home or homelessness , medical treatment or non , etc etc . I know a lot of these people who have been driven to despair by the Tories deliberate policies , for me it’s nit a case if they have lowered my personal income bracket or they’ve taken a percentage off a gallon of oil . My concerns are a lot deeper int people’s very existence and quality of life and chances .
That’s why I’m bitter about this god awful lot in power and why I rant about them they are people devoid of compassion as the bedroom tax proves . Have a look around you see what’s happening then find out why .
Next time you see your homeless friend to give him that pasty or sandwich , stop and chat with him for a while ask him to tell why he is in that situation it might open your eyes and see beyond your personal tax account .
