    Article on Thiam in today's Chronicle. He says it feels like he's been in
    Barnsley for 5 years and it's now home and he sees his long term future
    at the Club. He said " I'm very happy here. I want to stay here for the rest
    of my career. This Club has the best fans in Yorkshire."
    Well said Mamadou. Let's hope he can grab more goals to ensure with
    input from others we can mount a real challenge to return to the Championship.

    It wouldn't be as hard as you'd think. For example when wanting to buy/rent a property and having to show proof of earnings to show they can afford it. That estate agents then knows what that player earns. 99% of workers will be professional with data protection laws, but someone somewhere may decide to share with a mate or whoever (maybe when drunk with loose lips) and then it gets passed on.

    I haven't a clue who our highest earner is or how much they are paid. Which is a similar level of knowledge as the guy who made the video. It's an OK video, just not to be confused with fact.

    You don't tell an estate agent how much you earn when buying a house. Your solicitor, maybe, and your mortgage provider if a mortgage is required, but not the estate agent. Even when renting it's an external credit check company. And that's for us regular citizens. Football clubs tend to sort out rentals for their pampered players acting as guarantors and even paying the rent.

    Also the estate agent rattling around in DB3Ks head must be brilliant. He’s got every player in the squad signed up and found them a footballers pad. He’s cornered the market there.

    Must be making a pretty penny and driving around in an imaginary sports car. He needs to be careful though if he’s then passed all this imaginary information on to Denihol to post on here.

    His imaginary job and estate agency could go up in smoke as quick as it appeared.

    Fair enough though proof of earnings can be selective. Neverthless it would be an isolated instance. No one is going to have a definitive list of every player at a club. Or at least..they shouldn't.
