I’ve been one of his biggest critics but he’s been magnificent in the last 3 games. A good performance all round.

I stand to be corrected but I don’t recall many games he’s completed 90 mins

I agree he struggles to play 90 minutes. I was a strong critic of Moncur for this. The difference is he has a lot more end product going forward, both with goals & crosses. It is an issue with a lot of european players that playing a high press game in an already frenetic paced English league is a big ask. He is starting to give opponents nightmares though.

6 games this season including the man city u23 game where he played all 120 minutes.
    Once last season.
He's played over 80 in 11 games this season

Been really good since blackpool away offers a bigger goal threat than any other winger at the club. As for 90 mins a few players can bahre hasn't done many either.

    Does that matter though?

That's the whole point of substitutes...

Proving many on here wrong. Scored some very important goals this season and can see him reaching double figures. Which is a good return from the wing. Hope he did that bonkers celebration again today anorl.

That's a bit unfair if you ask me. He regularly plays 75+ minutes when starting. Stendel rarely subs defenders / DMs unless injured so will be subbing the "front 4", hence Thiam is more likely than not will get subbed with the effort he's been putting in. Also when leading by 2+ goals, which we have been the last few weeks, you're also more likely to be subbing your best players off resting them for the next game. Hence Thiam is getting subbed as he's been our best "front 4" player since Blackpool away

    I thought he was ****.

Mamadou I sincerely apologise. His improvement over the past 4 months has been wonderful to watch.

    You reds.

I think we owe Stendel and his coaching tram credit here. We have seen many players including MCGeehan, Thiam, Cavare, Brown, Williams all improve and buy into ths game plan. In several interviews they have spoken how they are working on improving players and we are truely seeing the results

Playing a different game to some though, probably does twice the miles of the centre half’s. Nothing wrong with saying to him “ blast it for 70 minutes and see what happens” rather than saying keep some in reserve to see out 90. If we’re winning after 80 mins you can bet he’s had a hand in it and we can put a less attacking player in to defend the last 10 or if we’re losing then he’s probably not had a good day at the office and needs changing anyway. Like I say He’s playing a different game to Pinnock/Mowatt types .

As others have said it's a Aylott to ask forward players, especially wide players to do the sort of game that is asked for 90 minutes. French and Spanish players do not play at this pace. It is not a dig at him, as if you check I started a thread about him earlier myself.

I always believed he would come good this season, it was clear to see he had the skill. I wasn't sure if he was trying too hard or just not settled into a new country and needed a bit of time.
