Do you mean those who like an argument on Setdi neet but miss the usual suspects that they argue with? Thiam alreet in my book.
Everyone's entitled to their view of course, but we are now 13 points clear of 8th place. Still a long way to go, but what a magnificent season the lads are delivering.
I think today was the 6th time we've scored 4 goals in a game this season. Getting boring though - when are we going to score 5?
Gotta love a bit of mindless point scoring usually done by people who don’t attend the match they are commenting on.
Why do we have these posts when we win? Conan might take a different view to many but he always stands by his view and ultimately wants the same as us all.
Let's just be thankful that the great and mighty OakwellStan has graced us all with the gift of a thread made all by himself. Other than his obligatory introduction thread (as Gally requests when a user signs up) this was just his second thread in 8 months. Still they say quality over quantity and as you can see it's all top quality stuff being produced here...
You've been hiding for 8 months mate starting just one other thread (which was about another club by the way) makes you look a bit of a dick when you complain other members aren't posting enough 10 minutes after a win
Sorry for not replying last night. I was in a minibus on my way back from Kingston-on-Thames having a few celebratory beers. I doubt you were.
Just to expand a little on my responses in this thread. Although I am still reading the forum from time to time (even though the traffic is minimal) I don't have much interest in contributing as it's pretty much a waste of time. The whole raison d'etre of the forum is to see who can be the most outlandishly positive (Pinnock for England ffs) and then be as sanctimonious as possible to anyone who is negative or critical. Which then puts posters off from giving an honest opinion. I notice a thread from seven months ago was bumped yesterday. However, we never see the stupidly positive posts bumped. If you give an honest opinion sometimes you will be proven correct. Other times you will be completely wrong. People in the game get things horribly wrong on a regular basis. It appears supporters are not allowed to. Too many good posters have either drastically reduced their posting activity or stopped altogether and have been replaced by people who just want to compete for the best cyber supporter. It's *****. This is why the board is dying on its arse. Redstar, ark, Extremely Northern, archey, BFC Dave, Tyketical Masterstroke, Jay etc etc all good posters who have largely disappeared and been replaced by, errrrr.......whatever we have now. There are still some good posters on here and I hope they keep posting on a regular basis.
For me, personally, I don’t try and compete for anything. I post honest views, which do tend to be more on the positive side. I don’t usually post my negative thoughts for some reason, it’s not something I do on purpose, I just never feel like getting on here and spending the time typing out a post when it’s ****. I tend to just forget about football. I guess there are others that go the opposite way. When things are positive, they don’t feel the need to come on here, but they celebrate in a different way. It’s all about how you see football, I suppose. We’ve butted heads in the past, but I like to think that we’ve always been able to debate (if not completely civilly) and if we haven’t been able to debate; it’s usually because of myself getting annoyed. It’s not the same forum without people like you and redstar, though. Even I can admit that.
I might have had the odd dig at you over the last few months. More because I thought you were overly negative. If you stick your neck out and say we could drop to 8th and then we win 5 of the next 6 games you are going to get a bit of ribbing. I’m sure though you are pleased your worries turned out to be misplaced. I must admit though the OP here wasn’t worth of a response,we have just won again convincingly. I don’t see any need to go point scoring. As for bumping old threads. I found that one interesting. It was much more wrong than I thought it was at the time. Anyway great performance second half. I was a bit concerned with how we switched off at the end of the first yesterday and we should have gone in a goal down but for a dreadfull miss. Having seen it again you have to give credit to Davis he did well to put their guy off. Genuine question for you. Do you still think all our players are not good enough for the championship. I’d argue that at least half the team yesterday are good enough and some of the remainder may be given another half season. Still need to strengthen though if we go up
