With all the call for bringing wingers in to the club I hope today's second half shows that 442 isn't the best way forward, I believe 2nd half we played 433 or 4123 as mentioned on ifollow, Dougall Mowatt Mcgheehan must start as we are so much stronger with them playing together leaving a selection of the front 3 from Moore, Woodrow, Brown, Adebejo, Green, Bahre, Hedges, Isgrove and Thiam.

We now need cover only for the midfield 3 as Bird I believe is the only similar replacement.

I’d strongly disagree with that conclusion. Woodrow coming off injured and Moore limping around showed me the fragility of our attacking options. I sincerely hope the Club rectify that in the next couple of weeks because if the don’t, and we lose either of them, we will have thrown away a golden chance of automatic promotion.

I feel in reality we’re not a big enough club to have anyone better than Victor and Brown as backup strikers. Bahre can play as the false 9 also.

I'm a big believer in 442. If a team is coached well in the 442 formation and know how to play it, it gives a player more passing options than any other system.

Don't agree.. I think some formations work better away from home.. You can only play 11, the game is about scoring and we need Moore and Woodrow fit and playing..
Plus I wouldn't get too hung up on any formations.. ours change about 5 times every game

As you correctly say formations are always changing during the game. It all depends on where you draw lines across the pitch. Good teams adapt to meet the challenge of the opposition. 442 can become 424, 433, 8-2, 4-6 in seconds. Alf Ramsey used 433 in 66 because he didn't think his wingers were good enough.

Moore, Woodrow and Thiam as the front 3 with Bahre as first choice backup with Mcgheehan Mowatt and Dougall in the middle is an absolutely outstanding team but no wingers and not 442. Formation we play is so important.

We need a decent 3rd striker to push Moore & woodrow as well as provide cover and allow us to rest them if need be too.
Browny & Vic are not ready to push them just yet, but should still get bit parts to improve their games and make them ready for the future.

We were light by one before the Bradders / Cauley situation and still are!

Eh Reading. How was your view, and did you survive the ‘ordeal’ with the home fans? I ended up giving my ticket away to a young Wimbledon fan.

I just don’t know who’s going to come and be as good as Moore but be backup for 3k a week? If we were the type of club who can pay 10k+, fair enough I’d sit on the bench for that. Probably need someone untested or old who can accept 20 minutes a week

I thought we had owners who made us the fifth richest club in England? If this is not the time to invest either because they actually care for the Club OR for ‘business reasons’ then I don’t know when is.

They must have a few "prospects" who maybe tempted.
We are in a strong position so a move should appeal.
Possible promotion and a shot at championship!

I like Bahre a lot. I don't think he is a natural goalscorer though. We have a fair few goal scorers, but another one would be handy. I think Jacob Brown is close. Looks great out wide. Please, please, please, can I get what I want? Lord knows, it would be the first time.

not our policy but still feel an older experienced head would be good, someone willing to be on the bench but see the game out if needed. Yes
I kno i'm describing Hamill but sadly he's now not an option, must be a Championship forward out there who's surplus to his club but can still do a job with the young team we have. With our current form and prospects we must look quite attractive to the right candidate. only have to look at what other Managers and fans say about us to see the words spreading..COYR

The thing about this resale sell on policy that baffles me a bit is why could Ipswich on a **** budget like us last season afford waghorn for one million and we signed thiam for similar money but Ipswich then sell on to Derby for 7 million a yr later. So why do we have to bargain basement shop. Theres money to be made by signing someone 27 plus there not cripples

There’s no magic formation & never will be, different systems & types of players work better & worse depending on who you play
