Over the next month or so, With them having an outside chance of a play off spot or equally with the run of fixtures they have coming up could be in a relegation battle. Either way they could potentially have a massive part to play in the promotion battle at the top. I'm hoping for a repeat result of their visit to Bradford on Saturday when they host luton, But then after that they travel to Charlton on the 9th of feb, Then travel to Keepmoat the following Tuesday, Host Pompey on 16th of feb and hopefully they're not too confident at this point by beating all those teams they then host us. To complete their season Sunderland visit their place.

So all in all Southend have a huge role to play potentially, Hated their tactics at Oakwell earlier in season but ill take back every explicit word I shouted in their direction if they could take a few points for us on the way. Oh and also roll over and let us win 10 nowt.

They have a very very strange record of late of winning one losing one. It has been going on for a while so wouldn't be shocked to see them lose to Luton but then beat Charlton

They've spent most of the season with a squad of about 14 fit players including a lot of youngsters. Some of those first teamers are starting to come back in to the fold now so I can see them having a strong second half of the season.

Yeah they're a strange team aren't they. I wouldn't mind it the other way around though, if we can pick up a win Saturday and them getting a result against Luton would put us in a very good position.

They did alright against us considering probably only Plymouth have had more bad luck with injuries this season. Getting players back they haven't had for months will be like new signings for them and the lads will be fresh from their lack of games. Can see them taking points off our rivals.
