Great interview with Cameron McGeehan on iFollow, says Stendel showed the lads a clip of Kelly Holmes coming from behind to win gold. Presumably the 800m in 2004.

Suddenly improves & becomes the best in the world in her mid-30’s, I hope that’s all we’re copying off Holmes.

Seriously though I like stuff like that for motivation, better than listening the manager repeat the same things or getting some speaker in

Do you remember the Lee Johnson 'Canadian Geese' video? I understood the thought process behind it, but not sure footballers can really relate to that kind of thing.

If you didn't see it, it was about how the geese flying at the front for migration do all the work and then drop to the back of the flock/gander(?) to rest and other geese drive them forward. The rotation continues but the pace and mission never falters. Someone please shoot me down if I've been duped by a West Stand Bogs wind up.

Sounds about right, we were shown a "motivational" video at work about some American fish stall and the workers yelled and threw fish around a lot. Been shown it twice while I've worked here, still non the wiser as to why...

I think that's Seattle Fish Market?

No idea how it works as an inspirational video but it's fun to walk past and see live on a morning

What the geese video if you see the full version is that if a goose is exhausted or is somehow injured, then it lands and another goose lands and stays with it until it recovers. It's all about teamwork and supporting your mates.

Perhaps the players misunderstood it, thought it meant come to Barnsley in the summer then leave in January to go back down South.

No but it sounds like something Lee Johnson would do. I can just imagine Sam Winnall day there looking like the angriest man on earth thinking ‘what am I watching?’
