The first year has passed so quickly. He would have loved watching us this season with the way we are playing. With so many small away followings his flag should have stayed in the North Stand where it's more visible to every Barnsley fan. Having it in the West stand it can't be easy to see for some supporters.
You can argue all you like as to whether the Crynes recouped the monies PC ploughed into the club. The fact remains that he risked that money to keep us afloat and did so for a lengthy period of time and could have well lost it. A true supporter of the club. Thanks Patrick.
RIP Patrick.I still think there should be a permanent memorial or statue to honour what he did for this club.
I was always an admirer. I was always a critic. Is memory lives on - and he will be fondly remembered in the history books of Barnsley Football Club. But we have nothing to remember him by. A statue or at least a plaque should be the minimum the club should do.
Sorry LR I didn't know that. Best that we respect James and Mrs Crynes wishes then. I hope they have a positive reaction to the flag, which I think is a credit to all the fans who contributed to having it made and those who religiously turn up to take it into the Ground and make sure it's in a prominent place for us all to see. Well done everyone involved, you're all a credit to our Club.
