I hope not, he's a very capable player in my opinion. Definitely a good back up if one of our first choice centre halves gets injured or suspended.
We won't get a division ready replacement. Lindsay (7 yellows) and Pinnock (4 yellows) are both likely to get suspended at the very least.
Shame, I rate him, always did. I wouldn't have any worries if Pinnock or Lindsay were injured as I reckon he can do just as good a job. We got sacks of money for Potts and his departure has made room for Brown who I believe is a better winger. We have better than Moncur, even on the bench. But an injury to either Pinnock or Lindsay and I think Jackson would be a huge loss. No injuries and we'll be fine, but I think that's a big gamble, like selling to promotion rivals.
We’ll get next to nothing if we sell Jackson now with just 4 months left on his deal. He knows the other centre backs & full backs & Davies, he’s a ready made replacement if either Lindsay or Pinnock get injured or suspended. He should not be leaving the club this month under any circumstances in my opinion
I'm sure Stendel won't want to risk only having 2 centre backs. Would expect him to bring someone in if Jackson leaves.
Amen to that. I understand he wants to move on but I.hope he stays here until the end of the season. Would be a massive risk letting him go and then hoping Pinnock or Lyndsay don't get injured or suspended.
It's hard to judge Jackson on this season he has had so little game time. Last season upto getting injured Jackson looked good in the Championship better than Lindsay did. Lindsay has looked good this season but we are in league one now so he should.
I can't see us keeping him for cover and risk losing him for nothing if we have a offer on the table. We will likely just bring another young lad in from somewhere that most of us haven't heard of. I suppose the way to look at it is this, yes Pinnock or Lindsay may get injured and we would need Jackson. On the flip side Jackson could get injured and still go for free in the summer. On the field consequences seem to be secondary to following our policy through. Everyone is replaceable and has a price.
It would be lunacy to sell him - he’s solid backup and a good quality centre half. Even if we replaced him it would be a gamble - which we don’t need to take.
We've no choice if he wants to go because he's not playing. Bad for his career sat on Barnsley's bench.
Definitely. Understand Adam's position wanting to play, but he has to be told that he's staying til the end of the season, as if he were sold and then one of our first choice centre halves were unavailable, it would be catastrophic.
