You could be onto something there. Maybe the mystery bloke is an animal rights protestor who has come to reunite that hood with the poor fox it came from and also set Toby Tyke free from his West Stand kennel. Know who to blame now if there's massive dollops of dog ***** all over the pitch on Saturday.
Much as I dislike the way some agents seem to operate these days I think it's going a bit far to say no football player needs an agent. The lad's 19, it's hardly reasonable to expect him to negotiate his own contract. Paying someone to look out for his interests seems like the most sensible option to me. Agents who exploit players or hold clubs to ransom are a disgrace but I think it's unfair to tar the whole profession with the same brush.
Yes... No, it's Dom Yarwood. I met him a few months ago at a football league conference at deepdale. Nice guy.
aren't all players members of the PFA surely rather than have parasitic agents the PFA should advise players on terms and conditions etc
I'm sure the PFA could advise on specific issues as any good union would but based on my experience of being an individual trying to negotiate my own contracts I think he does right to pay someone to handle that side of things for him.
If I was 19 and was given permission to speak to a league 1 club I'd sure as **** get myself an agent.
