I wonder if this is the reason that we haven't sold Jackson yet .

I would seriously questions the owners’ intentions if we sold Pinnock in this transfer window

If we sell him now it will be terrible. Him and Lindsey must stay if we have any chance of going up, we are on a roll and the top 2 is up for grabs big time!! If we don't go up then sell him in the summer, and in this market we should be looking for up to 10 million for him, certainly with add on's....he really is that good!! I watched his debut funnily at Brentford last year, and he has hardly put a foot wrong since 3pm that afternoon!!

I'm waiting for something but will let you know when I do. It's regarding another Yorkshire club.

Why? The owners intentions are to buy players cheaply and sell them for a profit. I assume you expect us to win games etc but there’s a by product of improving players.

    I totally understand that.

    But not at any cost.

We will be able to sell him in the summer for the same if not more money. To sell him now would demonstrate a short-termist attitude and lack of desire to get us back into the championship.

I said they got big money for someone. Brentford have a similar structure to us, buy cheap, develop sell for a huge profit. Their record signing is around 2.5M. I can’t see them more than doubling their record transfer.

Ethan Pinnock is an excellent centre back and probably our best player.

We should be looking to keep him.

However if an offer of £6million + came in, I’d expect to sell and accept the decision of the club if they did.

He won’t devalue by summer per se - but the summer market is easier to trade in and you often see inflated prices in January due to the limited time available. They might be risking quite a bit if they didn’t accept.

If he was sold, but they kept Jackson and brought in another centre back as cover, then yes I’d be disappointed but I would see the logic in it - so long as it is for the numbers being mentioned. Anything under £5million up front would be nonsense.

I'd be very worried if we sold him, considering the disappearing money tricks of the last few years.

We should be (although I don't think we have) sat on a stockpile of money circa £10-15m based on player sales of the last 2-3 years against spend.

If we sell Pinnock and don't then go on a spending spree to replace him, Potts and Moncur then I'll be incredibly unhappy with the situation.

I don't normally go down the negative path, based on rumours, but its becoming more and more evident that when these rumours show up, they invariably come to fruition.

As much as I rate him, six million is a lot of money for somebody in a League One side. Doubt it’s true mind, Brentford very much follow our model and don’t tend to spend those kind of sums, and what they do spend is mostly on foreign players.

I’ll be honest losing Potts and Moncur didn’t really bother me but I’ll be gutted if we cash in on Pinnock. I’d be thinking that our ambition hasn’t changed.

I'm not sure. Just remember reading the comments of Mark Cooper when they sold him.

Yep me too - I have in my mind 20% for some reason

Is your pal aware of how likely it is for us to accept this offer?

We paid 500k so sell for 6million they would be entitled to 20% of 5.5million as far as I'm aware so 1.1 million. Hope we don't sell mind.
