I disagree with that. He wouldn't have been on that plane if he wasn't going to be signing for Cardiff. As tragic as it is, Nantes have every right to every penny of that transfer fee.
I disagree. Nantes sold a player to Cardiff and did it all by the book. They should still get the fifteen million fee from Cardiff.
Given the stupid high fees involved in transfers nowadays there has to be some kind of insurance. Would imagine insurance money will go to whichever club is out of pocket.
Was having this discussion earlier. And its not insensitive at all, i'm sure behind closed doors, Nantes and Cardiff know exactly where they stand. And yes, I would imagine there is some tiny clause in contracts or some factored in re-insurance aspect to cover such a highly unlikely scenario. I'm sure we'll find out in due course once/if the tragic news is confirmed and the news moves to blame and detail.
Nantes should keep the money that Cardiff pay. The transaction has nothing whatsoever to do with these tragic deaths.
Unfortunately, news is breaking that some cushions from the stricken plane have been found washed up on a beach in Northern France. The Rescue team now plan to undertake an underwater search of a four square mile area, but due to adverse weather conditions, they claim they can't start until Friday at the earliest.
