I'm beginning to worry where are new owner intend taking us. Are we to stagnate in the Alehouse league with the sole purpose of turning a profit in the Transfer Market or have they another plan which they're not telling us?

Ok thanks mate - assuming he gave you the same information about Huddersfield after Winkler or Stendel....or both?!

They would be daft to leave in my opinion although money talks

    Foooking EXACTLY RIGHT !!!

Why do majority on here have such a negative defeatist attitude ?!?!?

If we sell Pinnock the chances of promotion goes through the floor.
What is worth more - Pinnock or Promotion???

Time for these new owners to stand up and be counted !!!

Totally agree CT. Like many supporters, I personally would be very disappointed if this "rumour"
proves to be true. We were very grateful for the late Patrick Crynes tenure and realised, that because
of the limitation of substantial funds, he had to be prudent regarding finances and similar to other boards down the years, we became accustomed to our better players having to be sold to simply survive. When Messrs Lee, Conway, Beane et al bought us , our initial optimism regarding their possible investment pro rata to their collective assets ,was tempered at their inaugural launch when they said not much would changeand they wouldnt do anything crazy. Having suffered the ignominy of relegation last term after all the hard work PC and his team did to get us into the Championship, with the team now perfectly placed to challenge for a place back there , irrespective of what is on offer, at this point , it would be " crazy" to sell a player who in my opinion is absolutely vital to our hopes of promotion come the end of the season.

Hope its not true. Ethan is our best defender by miles.

The Nylons have an average gate of 10k- would they spend £5-6m, and the wages thereon, for a CB when they're 17th in the Championship table?
    With a new stadium underway?

While I agree with people who say selling Pinnock would be bonkers, which it would and if he gets us promoted he'll be worth more in the summer, what happens if he downs tools and refuses to play if we don't sell him, what are we gonna do then, if we just stick him in the reserves we lose a player and don't get the money, because if I was Pinnock and I was offered Championship money, to play Championship football much closer to home where I'd be first choice I'd be down there in a flash

You couldn’t make it up - massively positive that second one...

With the numbers mentioned, about the same.

As I said earlier in the thread, he’s probably our best player and best asset.

But I’d imagine they’d sell at anything over £5million.

It's not long until summer though and if he gets us promoted his price will go up and even more southern teams may come in for him so he could take his pick. He's already experienced one championship relegation battle that didn't end well!

Im uncomfortable with the situation.... one out yea ok....two...well its only moncur...three and its a main top top player!!!
    Fire sale 2019!!
    Who next??
I would reverse the question and say can we afford to sell him?
I get the buy in cheap sell for wonga but (if this is true) we have no bfc players just loan lads!
A huddersfield fan ribs me constantly at work ....he never asks if our players are any good...just how much they are worth!....and says dont get comfy with your players lad ...they will be looking for a profit the second they come good!
Really hope this all passes and we retain our players....i always thought if we could mske it through jan and keep pinnock and moore...we would still be ok.
Question.....at what point do we stop selling?...ie if we had 10 offers for our players (10 players) would we sell them all...because we had made a profit on them.

Ok then, I’d say they won’t turn it down .
If it’s even true that is.

He's possibly the best defender in the league.. Selling now would be a disaster regardless of how much we get. He's also miles above Brentford quality.

If he's worth the figures being thrown around here now, surely he'll be worth more if we get promotion and we'd have even less reason to sell him to the likes of Brentford.

So with the fee being guessed at for Pinoch, are people really saying he’s that much better than John Stones

Don't think anyones saying that, we all know that the Stones fee was stupid, but you've got to think it's been 6 years since Stones left, money in football has gone up exponentially.
