If Winkler goes then this could possibly derail / disrupt our season. We could be in the same division as Huddersfield next season so if he goes there it's only for the money. Wonder what Stendel makes of it all...
Can’t really blame the club on this one. He won’t be paid huge sums for us and if Huddersfield are offering to buy out his contract there is little we can do - they will be offering him loads more money that we won’t be able to match Massively frustrating as it is
Mertesacker has the wonderfully cushy job of managing the whole Arsenal Academy. Not sure why anyone would give that up unless they were going into management or higher level coaching at a top club. Let's see how it pans out, but Giddings rarely pins his colours to the mast so strongly unless its very likely. Football is truly s**t.
Football is crap especially as it is likely us and Hudds could be in same league next season. Surely this new man they hired has someone he can bring in with him. But with that been said I would rather lose AW than one of the better players like Mowatt, Moore or Pinnock
We lost Wright and carried on fine with Clapham. Higher up we lost Johnson and did fine with Hecky. Of course we would prefer he stayed but it's not Stendel or a key first team player we are talking about.
Stern to step up for now? Would make sense to me. Not good news, but as mentioned by others it's not as damaging as losing key players.
Losing Wright was arguably the catalyst that derailed the season. We got worse. A lot worse. We got relegated. How is that carrying on fine?
You could be right, but I see Winkler as the thinker. The one that gets the message across to the players on how they want them to setup and play. Yes Chris Stern speaks very good English but I think we will struggle without the input of Winkler
Selling Ethan Pinnock would be frustrating and a major blow, but we could carry on reasonably well I think. Losing Winkler and the resultant consequentness could well be totally destabilising for the club. I'm a firm believer that things will always carry on and I'm hardly a reactionary type but considering the impending departure of Gauthier Ganaye as well, I have to worry about the short term future of BFC. Keeping the squad together and getting promotion seems all the more important now.
If he wants to go let him go.I'm sure Stendl will have more contacts who would like to get involved with a potential promotion team.
