Agree, the other aspect we never see are the behind the scenes relationships and influence of agents/ players, plus the lure of a much more desirable area to live and spent part of their young lives. All the club can do, provided a contract doesn't allow them this luxury is to say yes, no, not now when a player or club come calling unless its I the clubs interest at that time or we can progress. I doubt there are too many people wishing we had Bradshaw rather than Woodrow. Or would rather we still had Mallan now that McGeehan is showing what he can do with a run of games behind him. But fail to progress and seem to just be cashing in, that's not going to go down well when they consider the new owners collective net wealth to be comparable with the richest owners in the whole football pyramid. We were told the aim was promotion, one of the few things we've been told. Now we're approaching the sprint and in with a good chance, I can't see any sense in weakening the first team with such better rewards and awareness available to us should we succeed.
I might be in a minority of one on this but I think Pinnock is better than Mepham. I know the latter is only 21 but he was absolutely schooled by Kieffer when we beat them last season. I think it is an absolute insult to say that Pinnock is only worth half of what Mepham is.
It is all bunkum Nothing on their website. More about losing their own players and they are not that rich Think Winkler will go and Stendel will probably fetch someone in from old club to replace him Let's not get ahead of ourselves we will still push on Good news is that Sunderland look like loosing their star striker abroad
You should read their board! Apparently he's been in and cleared his locker before a deal has officially been signed!
It got a few mentions on their forum this morning - the only source being Barnsley fans - but no-one seems to be taking it seriously, especially the £6 million bit. Some of their fans aged him by two years though. http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=131037&page=64
We should just say. I to Brentford- they did it to Bournemouth who apparently offered £5 mill for their CB - they turned it down and, after further bids, agreed at £12 million - we should do the same! They did it in the recent past with Hogan (I think) & they are not bigger than us (yes, I know they’re in the championship) - just say no & watch bigger buds in the summer if we lose out on promotion. Everyone tries it on with us cos they think we are patsies!
SSN just been running something about Pinnock. Didn’t have sound on so don’t know what was being said.
Newsnow is just a news portal, which when filtered to Barnsley FC, shows all the club related news stories around the web. Some will be credible, some won't be.
Just said that Brentford are interested, doesn't make a difference, a lot of their reporters just trawl twitter make something up and then just say it's come from "Sky Sources".
