Which one is the current owners level of ambition for Barnsley FC?. I think we'll know for certain by the end of this Window.
I hope it's pushing for the premier league but fear it's to be the richest club in L2.

Do you think we’ll be relegated then?

No not this season obviously but if the heart is ripped out of the squad again like it was a couple of seasons ago we won't go up like we didn't then and what happened the following season we got relegated

We did lose a manager as well though and failed to bring in an adequate replacement.

So like the playing squad this time around selling two guys with plenty of championship experience between them and replacing them with a 4th division winger and a lad from a 6th tier relegation battle.

I was simply pointing out that it is currently not a like for like situation. Who are the 2 we’ve sold with plenty of Championship experience?

83 championship games of experience replaced by two guys with no experience above the 4th tier between them. They might end up world beaters given time. But at this moment our squad is significantly weaker than before the transfer window.

‘Plenty’ hmm, and many Reds fans, on here as well, didn’t rate them in the Championship. Their ‘Championship experience’ is one of huge disappointment I fancy. Anyway, as I said I was simply pointing out it’s currently not a like for like situation.

You can never say never. However, I think League 1 is as bad as it will get for us. Simply due to the size of the club. Even a pittance by our standards on these lower league punts is still more than most other clubs in League 1 and 2 can afford. The same can be said about wages and gates etc.
