The club that will never say no. Can’t wait to spend 50k of it on a non league player for the development squad.
So even the Management Team have a "Buy-Out" Clause in their contracts. That in itself tells me we are just the Owners "Cash Cow!"
Really gutted about this. Its been a pleasure to listen to his interviews, openness, honesty and positivity after the scorn and bitterness and entrenchment of some of our past interviewees. I understand his move completely and wish him well. But I feel for Stendel. His support network is now reduced greatly and I hope he doesn't feel isolated. I hope the club can ensure he rebuilds that network and keeps an eye on him and tries to allow him more time to see his family or fly them over even if time allows.
Were they both not out of work in the summer? Why would we agree to a buy out clause when they weren’t at a club? Mind boggling....
But why would someone that was out of work insist on having a buy out clause in his contract. Doesn't make sense to me
It’s time to get that substantial compensation spent Barnsley Football Club on a striker that is top class for this league. Over to you.
If he hadn't had a clause then the club could turn down any offer but they have them in place so that a club can't block the career advancement of an employee and also to ensure that the club gets substantially compensated in the event that a club with big money comes along. That been said, I'd love to see how substantial the pay off was for a league one assistant manager.
You identify they're the guys you want and they say yes as long as they have a buy out clause. What do you do?
Sorry to see him go but it was a no brainer for him. And if he wants to go the club aren't going to stand in his way. For all we know Stendal already has someone in mind to fill the role.
Wow - we didn’t actually slag him off as he left!!! I was expecting GG to say something along the lines of ‘he didn’t do that much in training anyway and someone once caught him having a sly **** in the bogs. We wish him all the best in his new role..’
