Am I right in thinking you can watch it online via a match pass, or is it only selected games? Has anyone die this, thinking of trying to do it through the smart tv and watch it on the tele!
Good thinking. I'd forgotten about that. Being a Tuesday match in theory it should be on IFollow but as per usual we'll have to wait and see.
My tv wouldn't allow it due to the software but you might have better luck. I attached a laptop instead through the HDMI and it worked really well. I'm assuming it should be available as a Tuesday night away game?
Currently says "there is not a match pass available" for Tuesday... God knows why. The communication about which games are available for streaming and the reasons why has been appalling.
It’s up to the Home team. If they feel it will effect attendance they won’t show it. Will be shown to overseas viewers though
Crazy- most people can't get to Oxford and back on a Tuesday and surely they would make more in ten pound viewings... Can we have official club updates on this?
Now That's really pissed me off!!! Automatically thought it would be shown! Can't go so was planning to watch on i follow. Is it confirmed its not on?
Is it - I thought that was just for the bank holiday games - I dont think Oxford have a veto for midweek games - certainly the iFollow T&C only give matches being broadcast as a reason for not showing. Im going to the game anyway so in this case it doesnt affect me but I would be miffed if I was still based in the Barnsley area as Oxford on a Tuesday night isnt practical without taking time off work from there
It isn't being shown. It's not Oxfords decision. It's another of those occasions when the rights have been picked up by Sky. So although Sky won't be showing it they have the rights so iFollow can't show the game. Highly frustrating for fans who can't attend and takes income from the clubs. This is the second tuesday game this has happened. Perhaps the club could intervene?
So how does that work - If sky are showing the game they pay compensation to the club and I can understand why they would want to force people to pay for their service - either subscription or Now Tv If they are not showing the game do they still pay compensation to Oxford if they have still reserved the broadcast rights? It just seems wrong they can block streaming of a game if they have no intention of showing it
Can gally have a word with the club to c if there's anything they can do to get the match streamed on ifollow !!!
