That's two points handed over by us so far then in the race for promotion. Two points that could cost us £6m who knows? Stupid gamble
We learned nothing from selling Mcdonald to Hull. It's happening again helping our a rival by letting them have a player mid season.
I said at the time and stand by it now that I wasn't bothered that we sold him but I questioned the club we agreed to sell to. He is lazy and his stamina is questionable but he is a capable player and could, if he has a good run of form, improve a team. We could have improved Luton.
For a split second I thought ‘he left to join Scarborough?’ Then realised you meant Angus MacDonald not John! Doh!
Stender is a poor manager isn't he. Picking a poor player 28 times when there were better players at the club.
Maybe Stendel thought he was the best option, at times, based on what he had available? Plenty of players get game time from a manager without necessarily being highly rated. He's only had one transfer window remember so hasn't been able to shape the squad as much as he probably would have liked.
He played 973 league minutes for us this season, so hardly a key player. In the games where he played 90 minutes we won 1, drew 2 and lost 1.
We've played Luton twice anyway. There are two automatic places up for grabs so one could argue his goal actually did us a favour as we gained a point on Portsmouth.
If there’s as many people surprised that Moncurs played for us 28 times this season as I believe there will be, that should show you the contribution (or lack thereof) that Moncur gave us on the pitch. Let’s be right he’s played to his potential once this season and unsurprisingly that was when he played with a chip on his shoulder against Peterborough because he felt he had something to prove. No doubt if we had to play Luton again this season he would’ve stepped his game up again and played well. We don’t have time for players that only step up when they feel like it. We need consistent performances if we want to get out of this division any time soon and George couldn’t offer us that. And before anyone tries to counter act this point with “well it looks like Moncur will be getting out of this division with Luton hur hur hur” he’s been a sub for them so far and to try credit him with 6 months work that the other players have grafted for just doesn’t wash.
Beat me to it. I'm sorry, losing no sleep on this. 10 minutes off the bench, yes he can do that. If he plays for 90 minutes week in, week out I'll eat one of George's hats.
