To all you delusional Mackens reading our board thank you for the Mcgeehan millions and loaning him back to us for the season
Mackens were on twitter Friday morning adamant that they had still bought Mageehan and they had loaned him back to us
You'll have to: a. Get this translated into English and b. Explain what on earth you are talking about
Whilst I appreciate the sentiment please, for the love of God, edit your post so "delusional" is spelt correctly. Edit: and McGeehan Double edit: cheers for editing Plug
they thought the had done a deal for him. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/one-more-signing-after-grigg-to-come.1460461/page-7
Is that the Jonny Mackens? Nice family, met his missus when he played for us. Good to see him nip in and become a benefactor after so long away.
I listened to a podcast with their owner today. Sounds like that they offered us 3m for Kieffer but we wanted 5m and they wouldn’t pay it. No names mentioned but it sounded like that to me as they said that had looked at a top scorer in league one. They asked him about Cam McGeehan but from his response sounds like he was never a target.
Sunderland were that desperate for strikers they were on the phone to the RMT to see if they could rustle up a few laikers
One theory is that " Mackem" is a derogatory term originally attributed to people from Newcastle. The latter look upon the people of Sunderland as being " below" them and the saying apparently goes back to Sunderlands history as a major shipbuilding Centre. The colloquial saying is " they Mackem and we Tackem" which infers that the tradesmen from Sunderland made ( Mack) items of equipment for the ships and the employees from Newcastle stole them ( Tack). Brother in law supports the Black Cats whilst his sister, her husband and kids support Newcastle. After a few jars, the banter has been known to get rather " heated", particularly as they are now separated by a couple of divisions.
