I know it's easy to think that there is more to it than luck but we're the second top scorers in the division and we've had one penalty all season? I can't believe there are many teams who have scored only 2% of their goals from penalties and scored as many goals as we have. Are we just unlucky? About time we got (and scored) a few

We don't get into the box enough to get a lot of penalties. Most of our play is shoot on sight which tends to be outside the box

our wide players (Potts, Brown, thiam) prefer coming inside and shooting in my opinion, green looks like one who could go past his man quite easily forcing fouls, maybe some of those might be in the box!

Maybe that explains it, that we tend to shoot more from outside the box. We seem to win "goal of the day" a lot.

Super Tyke is right that a lot of our attacking play is outside the box but there have been a couple of very good penalty shouts waved away. A mixture of bad luck and poor officials is probably close to the truth.

Think the one for Burnley on Saturday was their first in the premier league for 67 matches

They showed stats on MOTD on Saturday of the longest runs of games without a penalty in the Premier league. Interesting that they were all what would be considered relative minnows - QPR, Burnley etc. Longest was Wimbledon with (I think) 91 games. Not a big club in sight, surprise surprise...

I agree with the ‘getting in the box more’ argument, but I would’ve thought it’s virtually impossible to get through 70, 80, 90-odd games without a single foul or handball occurring in the penalty box.

Agree with all these. Statistically it must be unusual to score a lot of goals and have so few penalties. Not the first time it's happened to us either!
