Nobody’s great at home apart from palace, Celtic, Rangers. But don’t you think ours as improved a little in the last 3 years? Away following is great too. I remember from 2003 to like 2015 we were poor alway around but it’s got a lot better in my opinion. When I go away I see us better than most in our league.

If anything I’d say it’s got worse especially in the Ponty end. Doesn’t help with the overbearing stewards like either.

It might be because the easy stand lower actually get involved now. Remember east stand give us a song

It was defeaning in the Ponty at the Scunny game, lots of new songs, the Adam Hammill song and the Brazil song. Superb atmosphere.

Generally poor at home. Not to bad against Scunthorpe but sometimes embarrassingly quiet. Need to get behind the team from the start and especially when we drop off the pace.

I'm pretty sure the stewards don't mind anyone singing, it's the other stuff that goes on.

It was OK against Scunny but only when we were winning. Other than that it can be dire.

I think there are three factors. 1, generally the only area that sings, other than a special blue moon (maybe even super wolf), is the Ponty, and not even that much of that these days. 2. The acoustics don't seem that great. 3. Our fans singing ability is pants. For some reason, the Barnsley DNA removes timing and patience, so all songs are fast frenetic and over in seconds, either because people have run out of wind, or the timing is shot and the song starts breaking up.... also see anything that involves clapping (out of time clapping to timerider has been going on for decades!)

Agree with all that, still love Timerider though!

Our songs always sounds like there is the main song and an echo though.

I must have extremely sensitive ears. I think it's great atmosphere in the Ponty. The roar when Toby Carvery had his tantrum after the last minute scramble against Rochdale was deafening. I love it.

No worse than at the reserve team game that's currently airing on national tv :)

Factor 3 actually made me laugh out loud because it is so true. Me and my brother comment on it regularly.

East stand gives us a song haha yes. Although just lately we have been joining in on the EIEIEIO, though maybe not heard in the ponty. We sit in the family and there’s a few singing.
Was nice to hear Brazil on satdi again though.

It is really loud in my corner of the Ponty.

Even when we were getting relegated I left the ground with no voice on occasions. Bristol City, the Cheds, Bolton.

It has been good this season too.

The laying void that is the west stand doesn't help matters one bit. Fans singing are higher than the roofline so the noise just floats off out.

If only John Dennis had survived the itv digital fiasco. We'd have a fit for purpose stadium now.
