I had one once, similar football injury and they sent me home! Seriously glad he's out though and wish him a helluva speedy recovery!
To be fair, the two lads who said he had a fractured skull a usually pretty spot on when it comes to news from the club. I don't think they were being malicious or owt.
But if it was the case I think the club would have said unfortunately kieffer suffered a fractured skull and has been sent home to rest.
The 1st statement said he was staying overnight. So either everyone **** bed early this morning or they assessed him after the 1st statement and deemed him capable of going home last night. Nevertheless it's welcome news
Me neither pal, but maybe inside info on stuff like this isn't really appropriate. Transfers etc harmless enough, bit different with someone's wellbeing.
We don't half swing from one extreme to another don't we. Last night's skull fracture rumour was being taken as gospel early this morning. Now on the basis of a statement containing no detail whatsoever, we've decided he doesn't have a skull fracture. The club have always been coy about injuries and either could still be the case.
Yep as @SuperTyke said he could still have a fractured skull we just don't know. We can assume if he has been discharged his injuries aren't too severe but beyond that we don't know anything.
Yes. This is right. In fact didn’t Iain Hume have complications when he was sent home? They said he was ok to be discharged but nearly collapsed at home later?
Just read up about Hume and he went home and slept before going to hospital the next day. At least Moore went straight to hospital and will only have been discharged if the medical staff thought it safe to do so.
Isn't there a compulsory resting period after a head injury? Something like two weeks? Anyway, brilliant news. I felt sick when I saw it. Good luck for a full recovery, lad,
So did I , went for a game of snooker next morning, but when I got down to take a shot the balls kind of doubled in number and moved on their own , so then I went to the hospital, probably explains a lot over the ensuing years In Keiffers case I would have thought they would have checked for internal swelling etc, if that's OK, I don't think you gain anything from staying in over bed rest at home. Lets face it he will be being monitored closely by the club medical staff. As for different rumours its unlikely they will say exactly what it is until its settled down. Its just not physical though, its also how it gets you mentally I never felt the same about leading with that side of my head again, makes you feel vulnerable
Thats how l remember it, didnt he say he didn't want to go to hospital because he felt fine and he went home.
Brilliant news, more for him and his family, football pails into insignificance. The ones who posted about " He as fractured his skull" need to find a full length mirror, strip off and give themselves a bolloking.
Maybe it still could be the case from what Jay and Fired havre said. Assumed that they wouldn’t release someone so quickly if they had done that but maybe Im being too hasty!
It’s a great point mate - these injuries can have a more mental impact than physical at times. I’d be the same as you were - always cautious about leading in with that side of the head. Similar to when you return from a broken leg, and make that first competitive slide tackle.
Good news that he's out of hospital and on the way home to his loved ones. Anything else is speculation at this stage but hoping for the best.
