I would have thought Jesus should get a mention in this thread. An innumberable amount of saves plus he died for our sins.

    All done without gloves.

Some great saves in that list and elsewhere. Jim Montgomery's was excellent here although had he not saved the rebound they'd have said he should have done better with the first one ;). Seaman's was very impressive. Banks one is very good, always a bit hard to judge as the camerawork isn't so great.

I never count keepers making saves with their wrong hand across their body. :)

If I had to add one to that list. Jordan Pickford for England against Columbia in the World Cup..

    Absolutely world class save.

Anyone remember a David Watson save against an Alan Sheared header for Newcastle at St James's park in an FA cup tie during the premiership campaign?

Jesus wasn't that good, as everyone and their uncle has netted the rebound.

No save before or since has ever made Banks save from Pele look ordinary , it may be your opinion that there have been better saves ( I've no idea what De Gea save you are on about ) but to refer to 'The save ' as ordinary on any day let alone the day a sporting icon dies, is disrespectful

If you think we are all idiots then just carry on with the line you are taking. Opinion about football my arse. We have very few sporting icons like Gordon Banks and in a thread linked to his dying you choose to continue with your plastic manc utterances. Despite what you think, it isn’t clever.

And yet you chose to compare De gea to banks specifically.

Who made the best save ever? (Tribute to Mr Banks).
In case your memory is that short.

Poll doesn’t mention the current Manchester United goalkeeper. You presumably reckon that any save he makes has to be better than ordinary Mr Banks.
