It was a **** up....I queued 6 hours for our, and got them...but it was sold out....unfortunately a lot of ST holders missed out due to them allowjng multiple buys, which meant you could take friends or family who may never go to watch the reds again.
Thanks fired but at no stage did I ever say we didn’t sell out. The only thing I’ve appeared to get wrong was the size of the allocation. The rest of my comments are about why we didn’t take up the FULL allocation. And the fiasco that followed. Please read my comments in full. We could have had the upper tier if requested. But was deemed not necessary.
Know one or two who got em for family and thought that there’d be further allocations. When none were forthcoming gave em to regulars.
Steele was brilliant that day, devaney's cross and stephen foster's header just wow, and not in those highlights there was also bobby's clearance off the line.
How that stayed out is still unanswered. Hassell, Foster, and Kozluk somehow stopped 2 clear cut chances.
"That's a goal that will be remembered for years and years in Barnsley"... and even in Finland! I remember how furious I was when we didn't get that penalty in the end, but this turned out to be quite possibly the best ending to a football match ever! Watching that clip still brings a little tear in my eye after all these years.
I recall me and my son, who were season ticket holders queued for hours to buy Chelsea game tickets. Got a lift home after bumping into a guy who lives round the corner from me, Huddersfield fan who worked at the council with a bfc season ticket holder. He's Never been to oakwell since. Numbers aside the ticketing policy was an absolute fiasco
Thanks. I have to say the best atmosphere I've ever been in. Including play off finals. Semi final. Bradford city at home. Just waiting for flack on the date.
