Got to agree. The evidence so far suggests he is not Championship standard. Difficult to tell if he is a better player now than he was in May 2018.

I'll send you a link to a 'highlights' video from this season later today. That should clear that up

If it was me. East stand lower. Your right. :) .Seems to have lost that bit of youthish arrogance trying to play the Ball out in tricky situations. Old school me ,Row Z. Except for Paul Futcher who was the classiest centre half I've ever seen. Prone to the odd **** up . But oozed class.

That’s just not true, he was players player of the year & many talked about him for player of the year.

A ‘failed team’ is completely irrelevant when talking about an individual player. Not every player in a relegated team isn’t good enough for that league. That’s not how it works especially when you only go down by a point.

Liverpool picked up Shaqiri from relegated Stoke & Robertson from relegated Hull for example.

What isn't true? That you stated an opinion not a fact? Or that I stated an opinion?

For me, he's a good footballer and a good find but maybe not the most natural defender we've had.
Lindsay is a better footballer than (say) Mick McCarthy ever was but I'd rather have the latter as a defender because I prefer the no-nonsense approach in the final third.

You stated he was one of the poorer players last season yet he won players player of the season last season & many on here were saying he was a contender for player of the season so I’d say it’s not true to suggest he was one of our poorest players.

So out of interest if Lindsay was one of our poorest players are you telling me that he was worse than Davies, Townsend, Pinillos, Pearson, Mills, Moncur, McGeehan, Ugbo, Thiam etc?

I said it was my opinion, you said it wasn't true. A bizarre response really unless you are in my head.

The 2011/2012 players player of the year was interesting wasn't it...

No not really. McNulty had a really good first season with us but was dreadful in his second season with us & ended up leaving with a bad reputation.

There was a thread on here when we played Rochdale recently & a few of us were talking about that.

Wasn’t that also the season Vaz Te & Drinkwater left in January & Butterfield got crocked? If so that significantly reduces the contenders as well.

I think some opinions are untrue. I could say ‘I think the worlds flat’ & I’d expect people to tell me I’m wrong.

If I said that the players player of the year wasn’t good enough for the league he won the award in I’d expect to be told what I’m saying is not true

Not for me he tried to shield a ball that was miles away from Davies when the ball 1st bounced he didn't deal with it then he had makie on his back just put it into row Z if in doubt kick it out. But yeah let's blame Davies....

He's made some mistakes this season, don't all players especially at this level, but overall I think he's had a very good season and deserves his place in the starting XI.
