Both made game changing bits of play first half cavares block as their man had just pulled the trigger and then Davies with a great save with his legs both to keep it 1 nil. Well done both lads.

It was a shame Davies didn't get the clean sheet he deserved. I don't get his contract situation either. We make a big deal of selling people who don't want to sign a new contract, but then willing to let our first choice keeper run his contract down.

Who said he had turned down a contract?

How do you know he wants to stay? If we don't go up and he moves to a championship club he will get a signing fee and better wages even if he is on the bench. Plus he has had some hammer over the past two season some justified some not. I'm sure he said he is waiting untill the end of season to decide his future.

I know he's not been offered one. But we make a deal of not allowing players run their contracts down, but we are happy to do it to him. I don't get why he's the exception to the rule. If they don't rate him why not sell in January? If they do rate him why hasn't he been offered a deal?

He won't be moving upwardly into a Championship first team place.

    Unless it's with us.

I imagine he will sit down with his agent at end of season and see what's what.

That is exactly what he's said regarding his contract situation. In the Chronicle around three
weeks ago, he made it clear that the Club was yet to offer him a new deal.
Who knows, Daniel might have recommended a German keeper that he's worked with
to our recruitment guys. All should become clear at the end of the season.
