We still aren’t clicking in the final third - too many wayward passes.
Wycombe could have had more from the game if they had a bit more quality.
Pinnock and Lindsay kept us in the game - even tho Lindsay had a below par game.

Not totally convinced we will achieve promotion - we need to learn how to put teams to bed.

Sorry nudge can’t agree there, I thought we were comfortable enough and didn’t think at any point we’d not won the game.

Wasn’t the greatest performance but still.

Yeah all those near misses and great saves from their goalie were from our mistakes:rolleyes:

I've been saying that all season. We need to be more clinical and put teams to bed. But we've won 19 games now, only lost 5 and are 5 points clear in 2nd. So we must be doing summat right

Struggled today and still won without ever looking like we might lose. Still 5 points clear of 3rd and not lost in ages, and we’ve not lost at home all season.

We need to learn to put teams to bed us, only won games by 2 or more goals 12 times this season..pathetic. Sack the lot of them.

In fairness I think YN has a point. The victory was fairly routine due to Wycombes lack of quality in the final third. I thought they competed well. Marked Brown and Mowatt out of the game but lacked he quality up front to hurt us.

I agree... in part. We weren’t at our blistering best going forward but we won the game so who cares? Good win.

How cool was Cauley's penalty.? We did very well to sign the lad,
he's top quality. Looks as though he loves playing for us as
    well which is great.

We didn't struggle, we won comfortably. Not the most entertaining of performances but Wycombe weren't in it after the first 15 mins.

Really? So next season when we are looking back at this season you are going to be remembering each performance instead of the results? Nah.

We perhaps weren't at our blistering best today but we didn't need to be. Never for a minute doubted our victory from the moment we took the lead.

One word that sums up our victory today is "routine".

Personally I think they are an awkward team to play against, they did a job on us at their place and I’d be more than happy if they still had to play any of our promotion rivals.

Nowt wrong with that assessment Nudge.

Not a great day for us in terms of football fluidity.

Teams don't come to Oakwell however to be "routinely" beaten.

    Every day is a challenge.

Remains to be seen whether we're up to it.

I’m already looking back at this season from next season - so to speak.
Today while watching the match I was thinking how we would deal with playing teams like Sheffield Wednesday.
I think we might surprise a few teams with our pace and power if we get promotion.
But Championship teams have that bit of talent.
Players who can slot a great ball through a defence and split that defence.
Wycombe were lacking just that little bit today - but if they had that type of player they would have probably won today.

We are on a good run - but IMO we need to step up another gear if we are to get automatic promotion.

If Wycombe had that little bit they would have won ?
If we had taken all our chances and they theirs it would have 12-4 .
You always give the oppositions view

Fair assesment. Some awful decision-making and final balls from us today. Still think we'll get promoted mind.
