    That is the changes mate. I worked on the Gyngleboy when it was built and the photo looks to have been taken from there

    Great thread. I'd totally forgotten it was like that. A relative of mine used to own Keegan Sports (Walt Keegan), but that was there post the road changes. Not sure when it closed to be honest... probably late 80's?

    I think it was Don Valley Sports before that if I’m not mistaken as we used to call that area from Windsor’s to the Alhambra Don valley or was that after Keegan’s .?

    I think he traded as that as well. I ran a team in the Nelson League in 1983 (I was 18), and we bought our kit from him. Red shirts, White Shorts, Red Socks. Away: Light Blue Shirts, Black Shorts & Red Socks (budget restraints).

    Got this rare colour postcard of the Smoking Room inside The Clarence Hotel "Barnsley Football Club Headquarters" at the time Percy Waite ran it around 1912
