Brown banned for 3 (Accrington, Sunderland, Donny)
McGeehan banned for 3, (Accrington, Sunderland, Donny)
Moore out for the rest of the Season.
    Can it get any worse?

With an international break looming we're likely to lose at least Davies & Dougall for Walsall away as well. No chance of it being re-arranged as it's on Sky.

Well he was looking straight down, so aside from the different feeling (notice his change in body movement as he steps short to then get firm footing), he absolutely knew he trod on him. There was a break in play. A natural point to apologise if accidental. Those two were nibbling all game.

I've zero doubt that he's intentionally trodden on him. I cant know his mind for sure, but the actions, the short step to ensure he catches him then find firm ground quickly (yes there wasn't huge pressure, you could argue if you didn't think you were treading on a leg you'd put more force down as its unexpected), then the reaction afterwards. He did exactly the same in his cynical lunge at Gillingham that was so blatant it was laughable.

I like we have someone who puts themselves about a bit more so we aren't as nice... but when they do something bloody stupid (especially with Moore out and a 3 match ban for Brown already), then they deserve to be punished. Whether a Barnsley player or otherwise.

    Hopefully he learns from it.

I thought he was looking down at the ball. When he jumps, the player’s leg is at his side, suddenly McGeehan is in the air and the player moves his leg out to get the ball.

There were breaks in play with the Southend tackles too yet they still didn’t apologise either, apart from the one on Cavare. Their number 42 was going in at everyone and getting away with it, no idea how.

I’d say the fact their player moves his legs whilst McGeehan is in the air and that he didn’t actually stamp down, should mean no ban in my opinion. But I can see how some think it should be.

Other incidents are irrelevant. Those incidents don't make McGeehan more or less guilty.

The more I look at it (at full speed) the more cynical and nasty it looks. If that were on McGeehan rather than by McGeehan, I think everyone would be raging about it.

Its the short step to plant on his leg that gives it away for me then the reaction after. Its a completely unnatural action to land flush on his thigh. If it were ankle, there may be a case as lateral movement will be exacerbated the further down the leg you go.

On the flip side, when you see some of the crazy rulings to overturn, I'd probably try and appeal. But I don't know what goes towards getting an appeal to succeed. I'd certainly be having strict words with him though.

I don't think there is any credible defence against it, as you say it looks nasty and if that was on one of our players then everyone on here would be raging. I don't expect the club to contest the charge so Cam will miss 3 huge matches!

Mcgeehan has left us in a terrible position with his actions. Hope he learns fast that that sort of behaviour isn’t acceptable. Terrible challenge.

I wasn’t implying that other incidents making McGeehan more or less guilty, I was referring to them for consistency. You brought up about him not apologising so I mentioned how their players weren’t apologetic either.

With the Sunderland’s and Portsmouth’s overturned decisions this season I would definitely say go for it. However, I don’t think we will and, as it was on sky, I think that plays a factor in the decision too.

There is no doubt the referee was inconsistent. But I think some of our calls are to even it out because we rightly received a red card, and we luckily got away with another til after the event. I don't think there were two worse challenges than Browns and McGeehans. It was tastier than I thought as a contest, and compared to some games where there are a dozen or more bookings, it was strange there was just one red and one yellow.

We'll see what happens later I guess. But likelihood is we're at least 3 players down against Sunderland.

When did the FA ban McGeehan?

This looks a worse tackle than McGeehan.. Oh sorry, not a Barnsley player so ignore it in the video reviews.

Let’s face it, the fa are charging because it’s easy. Ask the weak pieces of barn animal faeces to implement ffp rules and they turn into jellyfish.

McGeehan is clearly looking at the ball , their player moves his leg to try and kick the ball away as McGeehans foot is coming down , non of the players reacted , the ref was looking straight at it so how he’s said he didn’t see it is ridiculous

More I look at it it’s the Southend player on the ground who moves to try and kick the moving ball whilst on the floor which is the biggest cause of the incident. What’s McGeehan meant to do a backflip he’s clearly trying to win the ball and carry on with play.

Funny as ****. Almost unprecedented. Not happy with a $hit straight red. Got to send in with a retrospective charge. A week before we play Sunderland. It's almost like they need Sunderland in the Championship.

I genuinely don't understand how that hasn't been brought up as dangerous foul play by the fa

I also don't understand why the entire commentary team at sky deliberately chose not to comment on it despite there being a replay shown. It was as if the director/producer was trying to highlight it but the commentary team were trying to bury it.

He apologised immediately after. I watch it on DAZN in Germany and it is different angles and editing. They showed him shake hands right after.

After watching that, I do not believe he deserves any form of punishment and that we ought to fight it.
