Great stuff! loved how raw and unprofessional it was bless em. Proper fans. Surely the club could provide em with some proper gear to give it a more professional look. And less profanity, but that seemed to go way over their heads!
I like the amateurish feel, plenty of more formal opportunities for interviewing. Think one of Daniels favourite words is " proud". No wonder the players are doing so well.
poor James, not allowed on,after cheeseburger meltdown at Southend,or was he holding camera, bet his arms ache
What was said/wasn't said about Moncur probably shows it was best he left all round, just to put that discussion to bed. I saw Conway at the Portsmouth match chatting to done fans. He obviously wants to up attendances but no matter how many flags are raised or what you have before/after matches good football will be why people come and continue to come.
Really good, well done both the lads and the club. Really liked the little looks and exchanges between Conway and Stendel
Not necessarily, I've a 6 year old eager to go - his mum says he can't until he's 8, the original age she said was 6. He will go when he's 7 regardless of how the team are playing or what division they're in. Attracting the the older generation back will need a winning team but its much more than just about the football for the younger ones. My little uns hooked on Toby Tyke and the things the club have done like the app and the comic strip have got him hooked even more.
Only going by my son but at 6 he was too young. If you take a small child then you don't really get to enjoy the game so i csn see where your wives coming from. It may make the match more enjoyable but in the end you will only spend money repeatedly on a football match for the football .
Daniels enthusiasm is infectious and it's plain to see that it's rubbing off on the squad. I have the feeling that the spirit in the camp is not dissimilar to that that existed in the squad that got us promoted to the Premiership. It's also great to hear how positive Paul Conway is and it's very reassuring that he keeps emphasising that the Board are committed to being here long term. If we can keep Daniel, achieve promotion and bring in some experienced players who are proven in the Championship, we can hopefully look forward with optimism to a very bright future.
Agree with the Moncur point and was one of the ‘looks’ I referred to in my post. I think what I did not realise until watching this was when they talk about the ‘experience’ they are not just talking about match days. The way Conway spoke about it last night was it’s two fold, one to get people to stay at ground longer but also about making it more of a central hub so people use it more on non match days(referred to Ladies nights and discos etc), both of these being about raising revenue to be put back into club.
