One thing about Danny Wilson was his very positive attitude. He didn't dwell on negative results and I've a feeling Stendel is similar. Not looking to lay the blame but wanting the players themselves to work for improvements.

I know a lad who would be happy to play a bounce set every other weekend, be cheap aswell.

A further note, good interview. Just wish theyd have grown some ******** and told Stendel what we all really think of Bahre.

I remember being invited to one of the midweek " Sportsmans lunch" at Ardsley House in 1997.
Attendance was at the invitation of the Chairman , who at that point of course was John Dennis.
The one I attended , was held before the season started. Before the proceedings got under way,
John was at the bar chatting to guests. In answer to the question " how do you think we will do this
season Mr Chairman"? JD said " I can tell you this, Danny has assured me, that there's no way we
will be relegated." How right he was. Never, ever in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that
the following season, we would be playing in the Premiership. The format for the day, was a very nice
lunch , after which there was a guest speaker. At one lunch, the guest was former Manchester United's
defender Jackie Blanchflower, who's brother Danny had played for us before joining Spurs.
Jackie was really witty. He said before he had left Ireland, he had never ever seen a traffic light. When he
first saw one, he thought the colours gave you the right to cross according to your religious persuasion
or your beliefs. He thought Red meant any Communists could cross, whilst Green was obviously for Catholics.
He said he remember thinking at the time " Jeez, they don't give Orangemen a lot of time to cross the
road." His career had ended as a result of his injuries in the Munich air crash and sadly he died from cancer
in 1998. The lunches were very popular and really did give you a feeling that the Club really appreciated your support.

    All? No, definitely not me.

I think he's a young lad who's still in his first season in a tough league and a new country and as such i think he deserves more time. If he'd been completely terrible all season then i might understand this opinion but you only have to look as far back as Accrington at home to see what he can do when hes on form.

Yes Accrington, then think back to Charlton at home for his last half decent performance and then think back to.... oh no thats it.

I think Bahre is a decent, yet very promising young player, who will develop into a good player for us over time. Which is pretty much what the lads said in the interview.

Played well against Southend in the cup as well. And then played well coming on against Southend away in the league a few week ago.

So there’s a couple more to throw on the pile at least.

I slate him a lot but thought he was fantastic against Accrington and Charlton.
