Getting a cap for Wales will enhance his profile come the end of the season. Do we think he's going to want to move on, or will he possibly stay put, if we are promoted back to the Championship.?
I think he will be gone regardless of our division. If we wanted to keep him we would have offered him a contract because we don't like running contracts down.
Offer A contract to a player who has openly said I'm waiting untill the season is over to decide my future. So in real terms I'm seeing which clubs are interested when I'm a free agent.
Or he's saving face from not being offered a deal. He's been allowed to run his contract down so treated as a special case compared to Moncur and Isgrove who were sold to stop that happening. I suspect we will sign a huge German keeper that wouldn't look out of place stood next to Leese and Muller.
If we're in the championship I believe we have a good chance of keeping him, if we're not we have no chance (just my opinion).
Yeah think champ clubs will want him on a free. He'll get a decent wage elsewhere, although fear he'll end up on the bench for a few seasons.
Can't see why we wouldn't have tried he is still young for a goalkeeper. Last season we made a bid for Eastwood who was 29 at the time.
Can’t blame him wanting to see where the club will be next season. Realistically his next contract could be his last half decent one and if he harbours aspirations to play more for Wales, playing in Championship increases his chances. The good thing is if we get promoted we can offer both.
He’s been a great servant to the club, on and off the pitch since he’s been here. Hopefully we can get promoted and offer him a contract he deserves. If we don’t, or it’s not enough money, then he deserves to go with our blessings and get his big money wages - potentially one of his last chances of a big contract. Time waits for no one and he’s earned the right to try and get it. Top bloke he is.
