I think a theresa of WUMs would also work.
    Or a cameron of WUMs.
In fact, you could probably use any politician's name. They all seem to fit... a boris of WUMs, a reecemogg of WUMs, a sturgeon of WUMs, even a jarvis of WUMs sounds fine to me.

I travelled with the social club as well, used to knock about with Big Kev, Reg, Steve Hallworth Steve Harker and Roger and odd occasions with Pete Darwin and Dave Starkey as well as Fudge. Fun times with a fair few incidents such as being chased through Paddington by Cardiff fans who thought we were Arsenal cos of the red scarves and being locked in the Boleyn pub at West Ham by the landlord for our own safety. Travelling to Exeter at midnight only to find there was a pitch inspection due to frost and snow (thankfully it was on). Ah the good old days;)

Yeah it was Steve who died. He worked at low hall in Hemsworth. Mark attwood was the other lad. Can't recall the two brothers surname but their older brother now has sandwich shop in fitzy.

Don't know how we got to know Steve, but he used to come with Kevin hopper and a lad from Kirkby called Wesley.

Probably a little bit earlier than me. My first away day with them was boro in 84.

Steve Curry, Mick Barker, Ged Pearson and Brian Sykes were regulars back then.

Is Ged Pearson still around mate? Was he the guy who lived out in Eccles? My mother in law used to see him on the train from Huddersfield to Barnsley on every home game.

Some names from the past there. Steve Curry been involved in some escapades. From getting a smack on the Coach at Palace (though I have to say he deserved it. Well, you should have heard him belting out ‘Babe’ by Styx on the drivers microphone) to getting arrested/thrown out of the ground when he led the £10 protest against the Board for selling David Geddis to a promotion rival (Birmingham). Some things never change!

I offered to drive Mick Barker’s Cortina back home after one away game while he stayed on at the Social. Never told him I hadn’t passes my test. Well, it just didn’t seem important at the time.

I see him now and again at aways. I don't think he goes as often as he did. I don't think Mick Barker goes anymore.

the steve i'm on about would be around that age, frickley shut in 1993 and i've no idea where he went after that, when did that accident actually happen?

i've messaged my mate who lives down elmsall to see if he's heard owt,i'm sure had it been the steve i knew he would have known about it but you never know i suppose, either way it's bad what happened.

Think it was early 90s pretty sure it was first game of season. Possibly Plymouth away.

This Steve definitely didn't work at the pit.

Didn't actually mind thereev, just ignored the majority of his posts but i can't recall there being much of a political or sneering context within his posts.
Sad that someone has to stoop to this juvenile level if this is the case.
