With the Stendel/Barton issue being reported to the F A and E F L where do things go from here?

Do the F A/E F L wait for the S Y Police to decide whether criminal charges are brought and what the result of a possible court hearing might be before they investigate.
If Barton was found guilty following a court hearing it would be easier for the F A/E F L to punish him.

If things don't get to court because no charges are brought from the Barnsley end or because the CPS don't think the case merits a criminal prosecution then how do things proceed?

Do the F A/E F L have the same powers as a court to call for video evidence, witnesses to appear under oath etc.

If you take the John Terry scenario (racism) as an example, he was found not to have a case in law but was found guilty by the FA.
In that instance the FA waited for the Police to complete their enquiries as they did not want to prejudice a potential case.
In the same instance the difference was in State law you have to prove without doubt, whereas the FA only have to believe it happen.

The issue of a charge sits with the CPS, if their view is that a crime has been committed and there is reasonable probability of a conviction then a charge will be made followed by court proceedings.

So long as Daniel is ok and he is up for the next four games I don’t really care what happens.
