Pressing too high pushing for goals and getting caught on counter is my only concern..... But come on sunderland
Ideally for my nerves I would love Barnsley to be comfortably winning Saturday and sunderland been 1-0 up in the 90th so I can relax and just hope for a pompey leveller.
Too many permutations at the minute but we could go into the last game with just Portsmouth to contend with. A draw does neither of them any favours but especially the Red Mags.
Exactly not sure I could take it being level and risk a Pompey winner at the end. Our best bet is to hope for a Sunderland reaction and win our two games. Yes if it finishes a draw I will be delighted.
Sunderland win or draw makes no difference. A draw means they would have a maximum of 91 points, so could theoretically pass us on goal diff if we lose one, but if we do lose one Pompey will probably go above us anyway. Long and short of it is we need to win both games.
Sunderland will.be desperate to avoid another Wembkey trip. Also have gone advantage. I'm hoping they're back to their 1-1 ways.
Goal difference is well in our favour though....8 over Portsmouth and 6 over Sunderland. Just at the moment I'd rather have the two points on the board .
Be surprised if Sunderland or pompey bettered our goal diffrence we have the best defence in the league.
Given that Sunderland have only lost once at home which was a defensive disaster in their last home outing versus Coventry I foresee yet another draw for the Marras.
Goal difference to Sunderland isn't that great - a defeat for us and a big win for them changes things massively, and Fleetwood and Southend will give them opportunities to bag a few. A draw is probably best case scenario though. It would mean Pompey would have to win both of their other games, a win and a draw would be enough for us if they didn't.
