Only way to sort out this cheating is to allow the physio on the pitch to attend to a downed player whilst play goes on around them like in Rugby.

Having just watched the Bamford incident, the game desperately needs harsh retrospective punishments for blatent cheating like that.

I don't understand how he imagined he wouldn't get slaughtered for that with the game being covered by cameras at every angle. What goes through their minds. I wouldn't want to be known for that.

The authorities know the fans hate diving and simulation. They know we all want it stopping. Look at the reputation Neymar has and how he has become vilified for cheating.
The people who run the game know all of this and have the means to fix it. Yet they do nothing.

"We all hate Leeds scum" and all that but play to the whistle. F*** Aston Villa.

Didn't watch it but have seen the incident and since read that apparently Villa put the ball out minutes earlier when a Leeds player went down injured? So seems they expected the same to happen when Kodija went down, especially as the Leeds player clearly looked like he was about to put the ball out

Having rewatched it, I’d say Leeds were fine to score, don’t get it. They were never going to catch Utd even if they’d won, you play to the whistle, we played on a few times yesterday when Blackpool were rolling about. If you lose a 50/50 you go down do you because you expect the ball to go out? Slippery slope imho.

No head injury so the ref allowed the play to continue. Why should play stop every time a player goes down? If there weren't so many soft-as-**** cheating players in the game this wouldn't be a problem. If you stop play every time a player goes down / cheats then the game becomes impossible because it will only encourage gamesmanship.

I reckon the way they've s.hit the bed over Easter they're deliberately trying to blow it to get their two Cup finals per season back next year... :)

What was Pontus Jannson doing trying to tackle him when Leeds had allowed Villa to score? Club captain and his own team mates having a go at him. They have lost it big time.

    Total bottle job.

You definitely play to the whistle. But when play drops to pedestrian pace, the players are all shouting for it to go out, you're meant to be returning a favour from minutes earlier, and then a player makes it look like he's going to kick it out, only for him to then play it forward down the wing, it's shithousery of the highest order.

You even had Leeds players having a go at the goalscorer, then Jannson being his usual Dirty Leeds self, plus Bamford being assaulted by thin air. Absolutely bottled it and in a right mess. That's not the dressing room you want going in to the playoffs.

Bielsa and the Bottlemen. He'll be gone in the Summer.

Just this - had Leeds carried on playing normally there wouldnt have been an issue but they slowed down and looked like they were going to just put it out right up to the point when he casually passed it down the line. Id have been furious if I someone did that to us and as embarrassed as the Leeds manager and most of their players were if we had done it. As for Bamford - he should get the 3 game ban that El Ghazi is headed for - though I am confident that will be overturned. Doubt that he will get any extra punishment though

Villa did put the ball out when a Weeds player was down but a short time later a Villa player went down and Weeds did not put the ball out . What made Villa think they would put it out for the second incident is totally beyond me!!

Is there a scummier Club in the world? (Rangers aside, obviously )

Patrick Bamford. An embarrassment of a man, never mind a footballer.
