I was there with my dad, brothers, great uncle, west stand seats. Dropped my great uncle off on way home, he asked us all in for a dram of his best Speyside malt. Treated myself to a whiskey last night, seemed right thing to do

I was there and as most posts imply the team was probably the best I've seen in 57 years. However Danny's promotion team and Daniel's promotion team run them close. All 3 teams played attacking free flowing football. Long may it continue.

Remember the 3-4 Exeter match very well, all the fans round me saying Barnsley didn’t want promotion, and this proved it. End of season we signed Alan Clarke and the rest is history

I’ve always thought that was the best team I’ve seen, or maybe the following year when we finished sixth in the Second Division, but this year we’ve scored more goals and got more points, and only had about 3 months when both Moore and Woodrow were fit. I think as you say, this squad are right up there with the best.

I'm pretty sure it was among the stuff I brought to ireland and is in the loft. I'll definitely bring it down and copy it for you in the next couple of weeks.

I was there standing in the Old Brewery Stand I remember running on the pitch at the end - along with just about everyone else - different era different rules, and then standing with a mate in front of the goals at the Ponty end and thinking OK what now.

It was my last season of never missing a home game as I haven't lived in Wombwell since the Summer of 81 - 3 years as a Student in Livepool and then down in Surrey ever since :(

For me the 79 and 81 seasons stand out as I was still young and enthusiastic and they were my first experiences of success following my team. ( I didnt get to many games in the Wilson promotion season due to distance and money) I have been back and a much more regular attender since Admin made me realise how poor life would be without the club and had a season ticket since Ritchie took us up.

There have been highlights in recent years but this one has been as good as any this century, with us playing some great football and, at least at home you could go and not expect us to lose, which is nice. Also great is being decent the whole season. unlike last time when were great for half a season - same with the great escape half season.
